Ohio emcee Kid Cudi has pleaded guilty to the misdemeanor charge of criminal possession of a controlled substance.

Cudi has been convicted of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree, a spokesperson for Manhattan’s district attorney confirmed to the press.

As previously reported Cudi was arrested in June after police responded to a call from a woman stating that the rapper was having a drunken tantrum that ended with Cudi, whose real name is Scott Mescudi, ripping her apartment’s front door off of its hinges before smashing her phone against the wall.

As a part of his sentence, the rapper must perform two days of community service for the misdemeanor and if he avoids further legal trouble for the next six months, his case will be officially dismissed.

It isn’t all bad for Cudi, his sophomore album, Man on the Moon II: The Legend of Mr. Rager, is due later this year and the rapper is currently starring in the Mark Wahlberg produced HBO series, “How to Make it in America”.
