Film maker Tyler Perry recently came to the rescue of an Atlanta area boy scout troupe by sending them a check for $10,000 to cover the loss of their camping gear that was stolen by thieves.

Earlier this month, thieves swiped two trailers belonging to Cub Scout Pack 103 from an empty parking lot.

One trailer was empty, but the other contained an estimated $4,000 worth of camping gear that the troupe planed to use for an October camping trip.

After hearing about the loss on media reports, Perry contacted pack administrator Emily Skuban who says the actor/director then sent her a check for $10,000.

As recently reported, Tyler Perry was added to Forbes magazine’s list of ‘Billionaires in The Making,’ in their most recent issue (covered by Jay-Z and Warren Buffet).

Perry has an estimated worth of $350 million.
