Lil Wayne will spend the remainder of his jail sentence in solitary confinement over a previous infraction for contraband.

As previously reported, the Young Money head was caught with an mp3 charger and headphones in May, a violation of Rikers Island rules.

Now in the final month before his release Wayne is receiving his punishment and could spend 23 out of the 24 hours in a day, alone.

According to The New York Daily News, he will be confined to a “punitive segregation” cell known as “The Bing” leading up to his release on November 4.

A corrections department source tells them,

“He’s not in an area where he is mingling with other inmates – ever.”

The NYDN reports that priority for punitive-segregation cells is given to inmates who commit violent infractions, so Rikers officials shipped Weezy off to The Bing when an opening became available.

Correction Department spokesman Stephen Morello confirmed that Weezy’s been transfered to punitive segregation  and will now be limited to only one phone call a week.
