A woman in Ohio has been arrested after stopping an officer and asking if there were any warrants out for her arrest.

According to published reports, 44-year-old Selma Elmore approached an on duty officer and politely asked if she had an outstanding warrant,

After Lockland police officer Dan Lyons informed Elmore she did have an outstanding warrant, p0lice report that Elmore tried to run away.

The Cincinnati Enquirer reports that the chase ended when Elmore pushed Lyons into a building ,injuring his elbow, and other officers apprehended her.

Upon capture police notified Elmore that she had an outstanding warrant for failing to pay a drug conviction fine – and that they were now adding the charge of resisting arrest.

As of press time, Elmore was currently released on bond.
