Moses Michael Levi formerly known as Shyne, is giving the world access to his new found beliefs as an Orthodox Jew.

The rapper who spent nine years in jail after a nightclub shooting with Diddy and his then girlfriend J.Lo, sat down with the New York Times to discuss his new lifestyle.

Since his release in October of 2009, the rapper was deported to Belize where his father serves as the prime minster.

Following that, he moved to Jerusalem where he says he has sessions of “Talmud” study with strict rabbis in between working on a musical comeback.

He tells The Times,

“My entire life screams that I have a Jewish neshama,” the Hebrew word for soul.

He also adds that the religious teachings in the “Chumash “and “Halacha” don’t bar him from living the life he wants to live.

“There’s nothing in the Chumash that says I can’t drive a Lamborghini,” and “nothing in the Halacha about driving the cars I like, about the lifestyle I live.”

As previously reported, Shyne sat down for an interview with HipHopWired where he aired out his issues with L.A. Reid and confirmed that he was working with Cash Money.
