DeVante Swing/ Jodeci Member Arrested
Looks like another member of the hit ‘90s R&B band Jodeci may need to Come Clean. Jodeci singer DeVante Swing was reportedly arrested at a Subway in Burbank, Calif., this past weekend for public drunkenness.
The singer/producer whose real name is Donald DeGrate Jr., was arrested after police received a call from a patron who said the singer was drunk, crashing into tables and falling on the floor at the restaurant. The 41-year-old was arrested for being drunk in public and taken to a nearby jail. The singer was later released. The police said Swing would not be charged with a crime.
Jodeci was one of the most acclaimed R&B bands in the early-to-late ’90s, with sultry tracks like, “Freakin You,” “Forever My Lady” and “Feenin.”
The platinum selling group was composed of two pairs of brothers: Donald “DeVante Swing” DeGrate and Dalvin DeGrate and Cedric “K-Ci” Hailey and Joel “Jo-Jo” Hailey.
The latter are currently the subject of the reality show K-Ci & JoJo … Come Clean, about their bouts with sobriety.
