Rapper Wiz Khalifarecently stopped by The Morning After With Angela Yee radio show and discussed a number of topics, one being his pending drug case.
As recently reported, the Pittsburg rapper was arrested on drug charges Monday (November 9) in Greenville, North Carolina, after performing at East Carolina University.
Officers reportedly took the rapper into custody after searching his tour bus and finding marijuana.
Wiz, whose real name is Cameron Thomaz, was charged with a felony count of trafficking in marijuana, a felony count of maintaining a dwelling/vehicle/place for sale or storage of marijuana and one misdemeanor charge of possession of drug paraphernalia.
He was later released on $300,000 bail.
On Yee’s show, the half baked rapper sounded optimistic about his impending court case, saying,
“I should be OK, you know. Trees aren’t that bad.”
Obviously well advised by his lawyer, Wiz even says he isn’t even sure the trees found by authorities were on his bus.
“I’m not even sure [weed] was on the bus because I wasn’t on there. I was coming off stage.”
