Priest Accused Of Plotting To Murder Teen Boy Who Accused Him Of Molestation
A former Catholic priest in Texas has been charged with plotting the murder of a teenage boy who allegedly accused him of molesting him.
According to published reports, John Fiala was charged with sexually abusing the teen for over a year and plotted to “get back” at the teen by having him killed.
Authorities say that Fiala was arrested after meeting with an undercover to arrange for the boy to be murdered.
Police were tipped off about the alleged arrangement by an informant who told police that he was offered $5,000 to kill them teen.
The San Antonio Express-News reports that the teen filed a lawsuit in April, alleging he was sexually assaulted by Fiala in 2007 and 2008.
Fiala now faces charges of murder solicitation and being held on $700,000 bond.
