Wiz Khalifa’s “Black & Yellow” Reaches Double Platinum Status

It’s no surprise that Wiz Khalifa’s first single, “Black and Yellow” which doubles as the Pittsburgh Steelers‘ anthem has moved 2 million units in less than five months.

It doesn’t matter that the Steelers’ colors are really black and gold, the song is in heavy radio rotation and Khalifa’s relationship status has been the subject of major blog-talk.

The Steelers upcoming Super Bowl appearance will undoubtedly increase the Stargate produced track’s popularity, and with a possible victory, the “Taylor Gang” leader hopes that the song will jump from #3 on the Billboard charts to #1.

Wiz tweeted to his fans thanking them for helping him reach the milestone, “yo taylors, thank yall for makin black and yellow officially go 2x platinum!!! damn it feels good to be a taylor.”

Wiz performed the mega hit before a Steelers playoff game against the Jets in front of his hometown crowd a few weeks ago.

He returned to Pittsburgh recently to perform a homecoming show, and documented his movements on his “DayToday” series.

Check it out below.
