Guru Tribute Planned on Anniversary of His Death
Last year, the Hip-Hop community lost a legendary artist when Keith “Guru” Elam passed away.
On April 21st, Revive Music Group will celebrate their fifth anniversary with a tribute concert dedicated to Guru’s Jazzmatazz albums.
The proceeds for the event will be donated to the trust fund for Guru’s son, K.C. Elam.
The concert, Revive Da Live Big Band Tribute G.U.R.U. and the Jazzmatazz Legacy will be held at New York City’s Le Poisson Rouge.
The rap star that began the group Gangstarr released four volumes of his Jazzmatazz series featuring musical greats such as Roy Ayers, Herbie Hancock and J Dilla to name a few.
Guru’s nephew Justin Elam-Ruff will debut The X Label G.U.R.U. clothing line at the event.
