DJ Kayslay is preparing to release his new album, More Than Just A DJ. The album will feature the hot new single “Blockstars” featuring Plies, Jim Jones, Busta Rhymes & Ray J. Speaking of the project, DJ Kayslay stated,

“There is a lot of talk about bringing New York Hip-Hop back. I was a part of the birth of our culture, and my new album does not disappoint. More Than Just A DJ is bringing real Hip-Hop back.”

More Than Just A DJ will also feature tracks from Bun-B, 50 Cent, OJ Da Juiceman, Drake, Juelz Santana, Joell Ortiz, Raekwon, Ghostface Killah, amongst others. Slay is also gearing to drop the second single from the album, “Thug Luv.” That cut will feature featuring Maino, Papoose, Red Café and Ray J.

In related news, Kayslay recently weighed in his opinion on The Game making Jigga his new focus of war. Saying Hova deserves a little bit more respect. The Drama King stated during a radio interview:

“I respect the Game, like he’s a real good friend of mine and me and Jay-Z never really seen eye-to-eye, but what I am gonna say is I think Jay-Z deserves a little more respect for as long as he’s been in the game. Game, he [should] just chill for a second. I really don’t think he fired at him hard enough for him to be going as hard as he’s going but then again, Game is a man. He’s gonna do what he’s gotta do. But me, I just think that, you gotta be on that individual level to go at him. And I don’t think Game has reached that yet.”

More Than Just A DJ is scheduled to drop October 13th, 2009 on E1 Music.
