Republican Reads Wu-Tang Clan Lyrics On State Senate Floor
Senate Minority Leader Christine Radogno addressed the Senate concerning the Illinois budget crisis and read a quote she supposedly received from Wu-Tang Clan member, Raekwon The Chef.
Raekwon was in town performing at Bar None’s weekly “Torch Tuesday” hip-hop showcase in downtown Springfield. Christine not only read the letter but she used words from the chorus of the Wu-Tang Clan hit record, “C.R.E.A.M.”
“The most precious thing in the world is the financial security and wellbeing of your family…You want to send your little ones to the best school and in the end you want to know you left them with peace of mind. Nowadays, we all know that cash rules everything around us. C.R.E.A.M. Get the money. Dolla dolla bill, y’all.”
