Man Gets 200 Years In Jail For Triple Murder

A New Jersey man was sentenced to 200 years in prison for his part in a 2007 triple homicide.

Alexander Alfaro is the third of six defendants to be sentenced in the heinous robbery turned triple homicide that shocked the city of Newark four years ago.

Alfaro and five other members of the violent street gang MS-13 shot and killed, Terrence Ariel, Dashon Harvey and Iofemi Hightower.  A fourth friend survived gunshot and machete stab wounds.

For his part in the murders, Alfaro received 60 years each for two of the murders, 75 years for the third and an additional 17 years for armed robbery.

Two other defendants in the case have already been sentenced and are serving consecutive life sentences. Three others are awaiting trial.

Each of the three murder victims was attending or about to attend Delaware State University.
