Young Jeezy & DJ Drama, The Real Is Back

Back in May, Atlanta rapper Young Jeezy and ATL’s DJ Drama reunited for a new mixtape, The Real Is Back.

Back in 2005, Young Jeezy and Drama’s Trap Or Die mixtape set the streets on fire, while pushing both of them to the top of the mixtape game.

Due to a feud, until the aforementioned The Real Is Back, the tandem had not released a mixtape together since their I Am the Street Dream! mixtape in 2006.

“Jeezy and Drama together, that’s a clear win-win, man,” Drama told MTV. “N*ggas gonna stop actin’ like we ain’t built this. You like our style, you watch our style, we still own our style.”

“We invented the wheel when it comes to that type of music and that type of tape so we just did what we did,” Jeezy added. “I felt like I wanted to take it back to what I do. Young Jeezy, nothing else. I’m not trying to sell this to nobody, I’m trying to do what I did in the beginning: go hard.”
