Foxy Brown Shows Up Tardy For Court Date

Brooklyn rapper Foxy Brown is back in the news, and again it has nothing to do with her rap career.

According to reports, Brown was two hours late for court, and was threatened with jail time by a New York judge if she’s late again.

The rapper was due in court for mooning her neighbor and defying an outstanding order of protection.

Reports by the NY Daily News state:

The hip-hop diva, whose contempt trial was set to start Tuesday, blamed her unpunctual arrival on her lawyer and later hinted she may replace him.

“Don’t put me in a position when I’m going to remand you to make sure you’re here at 9:30,” Brooklyn Supreme Court Justice John Walsh told Brown, who showed up at his courtroom past noon. “Court starts at 9:30, not when you roll in.”

An emotional Brown countered that her lawyer Salvatore Srazzullo, who didn’t show up in court but sent an aide instead, instructed her to appear at 11:30 a.m. She showed reporters a text message from him to prove her point.

“This is b——-. I’m always here on time,” she ranted. “This is why I’m peeved.”

The trial is now set to begin on July 12th.
