MJ’s “Thriller” Jacket Nets $1.8 Million

The famed red and black jacket donned by Michael Jackson in his historic 1893 “Thriller” video netted $1.8 million at a Beverly Hills auction house,Sunday.

The iconic calfskin jacket was reportedly purchased by Milton Verret, a commodities trader from Austin, Texas.

The jacket’s new owner says the famous jacket (that was autographed by MJ himself) will now be used as a fundraising tool for children’s charities.

A percentage of the sale price will be donated to Shambala Preserve, an animal sanctuary who is caring for two tigers MJ once housed at his Neverland Ranch.
