B.O.B released a new video for his song, "Dr. Aden" today from his No Genre CD.

"Dr. Aden" is a vivid, detailed record mirroring the story about the Bayer Company back in the 80's that sold a medicine for people with hemophilia.

Bayer discovered that the medicine had AIDS in it and the FDA knew about it.

They took it out of America and sold it in Europe, Latin America and Asia so they wouldn't lose too much money and control the population.

February 7, is National Black HIV/AIDS Awareness Day and today marks the 11th year since the NBHAA was inaugurated by the CDC and five national organizations to bring awareness and provide help in the African American community for this crippling disease.

Though progress has been made, the numbers of  HIV/AIDS cases are still strikingly swayed in the black community.

African Americans make up about 14 percent of the U.S. population but account for half of new HIV diagnoses, according to new data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

African-Americans face the most severe burden of HIV in the United States, according to the Atlanta-based Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. At the end of 2007, blacks accounted for almost half - 46 percent - of people living with a diagnosis of HIV infection in the 37 states and five U.S.-dependent areas with long-term, confidential, name-based HIV reporting.

In 2006, African-Americans accounted for 45 percent of new infections in the 50 states and the District of Columbia, the CDC reports.

New HIV infections among blacks overall have been roughly stable since the early 1990s, compared with other races and ethnicities, but they continue to account for a higher proportion of cases at all stages of HIV—from new infections to deaths.

Doctors in Germany believe they've made a pivotal medical break-through and are announcing that they've cured a man of HIV/AIDS.

Timothy Ray Brown, also known as the "Berlin Patient," received a stem cell transplant in 2007 as part of a lengthy treatment course for leukemia.

Now the doctors who treated Brown have published a report in medical journal “The Blood” affirming that extensive follow-up testing "strongly suggest that cure of HIV infection has been achieved."

Brown is the first person to ever be declared cured of HIV, and is pushing science to further the sometimes-controversial study of stem cells.

Brown, who previously stayed out of the spotlight, will cover the next issue of Stern Magazine under the headline, "The Man Who Defeated The HIV."

World Aids Day

Several of your favorite entertainers are sacrificing their own lives for of World AIDS Day. Their digital lives, that is.

In an attempt to raise money for Keep a Child Alive – an AIDS care organization – artists like Swizz Beatz, Alicia Keys, Lady Gaga And Kim Kardashian and Usher are deading all digital access to the outside world until enough money is raised for AIDS research to buy their digital lives back.

That means no more Twitter or Facebook updates from any of them until $1 million is raised in the name of AIDS care and research.

Swiss officials have reportedly been looking into the allegations for five years after a patient first filed a criminal complaint against the acupuncturist, whose identity is being withheld.
Since the first reported claim of infection, 19 of the clients have been infected.

Presiding magistrate Hermann Fleischhackl tells the Associated Press,

“Fifteen believe their infection may have something to do with the accused. Four people have no explanation for their infection or at least aren't linking it to the accused.”

Authorities believe the infections took place between 2001 and 2005 and will decide by next year whether the man should be formally charged with intentionally spreading human disease and causing serious bodily harm.

The offenses can carry a penalty of up to five and ten years.

Authorities say Perkins used popular dating website PlentyOfFish.com to contact women, wine and dine them before passing along the virus.
His ex-girlfriend who was involved with Perkins and wishes to remain anonymous, turned him in and tells 6News Indiana,

“It's my personal mission to help save lives. God spared me. I've tested negative for a year. My last AIDS test was in February. Maybe I was the angel to stop the anti-Christ.

She then says that when she asked him why he did it he replied,

“A whore gave it to me, so if a whore wants to sleep with me on the first night, she deserves what she gets.”

Police believe he had unprotected sex with at least 100 women, 10 of which have come forward so far.

Police now say they'll go through his cell phone records to try and notify the other women.

He has been charged with failure of carriers of dangerous communicable diseases to warn persons at risk and intimidation.

On a world stage looking for any form of scientific breakthrough to battle the often fatal juggernaut that is AIDS, any glimmer of hope is just as good as the next; in this case, the next would do best to come sooner than later because the gel is nothing more than a over-hyped bust.

Clinical trials of over 9,000 women found sounded the proverbial death knoll for the vaginal microbicide, with none of the subjects exhibiting any resistance to any AIDS/HIV viral strain.

Nearly 33.4 million people were recorded as having HIV in 2008; that same year saw 2 million people of AIDS complications.

South Africa tops the world in HIV cases. The nation has a population of about 50 million with an estimated 5.7 million people infected with virus.

Even though World AIDS day is over, it doesn't mean the testing stops. Make sure you get tested people!

Needless to say, the projected success of a successful vaccination against AIDS or Alzheimer's diseases is guaranteed to bring in billions, if not trillions, of dollars in revenue.
