Osama Bin Laden Killed In Pakistan

Al Qaeda founder and leader Osama bin Laden was killed by U.S. forces on Sunday night.

Bin Laden was the mastermind behind the 9/11 attacks on America in 2001, and had been sought by the U.S. for nearly 10 years.

The Al Qaeda leader's death came after an attack and firefight by U.S. troopers, following intelligence information that bin Laden was in a mansion in Abbottabad, Pakistani.

“Tonight I can report to the American people and the world that the United States has conducted an operation that killed Osama bin Laden,” President Obama announced late last night.

The 9/11 terror attack is viewed by many as the darkest moment in U.S. history, as nearly 3,000 people were killed during this attack by Al Qaeda on America soil on September 11, 2001.

Bin Laden's capture was a goal of the Obama Administration, who had been the primary target in the war against terror.

President Obama's speech on bin Laden's death is posted below.

As the economy's downturn continues to loom over America and employment remains to be a daily issue, the problem is almost magnified for the young males in the Black community.

34.5% of young Black men are unemployed.

Reported in October, unemployment for African-American men between the ages of 16 and 24 has skyrocketed. The percent is more than three times the unemployment rate for the entire U.S. population.

This month, the Bureau of Labor Statistics reported that unemployment for Blacks in D.C had risen from 11.4% to 11.9%, although employment was stable for other races located in Maryland and Virginia.

As the country deals with a recession, Black America is slowly crumbling into an economic depression with jobs becoming scarcer, especially for the Black community. The hole is becoming deeper and deeper and the light for opportunity only flickers.

Issues trying to find stability in the work force for a Black man spans farther back in history than most can remember. Some have been placed in situations where they feel they are in dead end jobs and are the last to be hired, but the first to be fired.

In regards to the present, the Bureau of Labor Statistics showed that African-Americans had a higher rate of job loss in the fourth quarter of 2008 when compared to whites, Hispanics or any other ethnic group in America.

Back in March 2009, the unemployment rate for Black men was reported at 15.4% and was almost double to jobless white men.

A study was conducted by Princeton University of 1,500 employers within New York City and the results found that Black applicants that did not have criminal backgrounds did not have more of a chance at getting a job than white applicants that were fresh out of the prison system.

Discrimination has clearly played out to be the dominant factor in the downturn when compared to things such as age, income and education. The Center of Labor Market Studies at Northeastern University reported that lower-income white teens are more likely to obtain employment than upper-income Black teens.

As the road remains tumultuous, the true nature of the country begins to rear its ugly head. Even with so much time passed and so much accomplished within its history, America is still unable to unlock its grasp on race.

Keep in mind that with drastic times comes drastic measures, so as a person is unable to alleviate their back from being against the wall, he/she is prone to explore other means in order to get what they want when the legal, civilized way isn't working.

It seems that a change of strategy was all too inevitable after gay and lesbian support groups were left reeling at the hands of Maine's citizenry. The new order of the day seems to call for a more personal approach to replace the forceful tone often associated with such groups.

Gay rights activists have taken an unprecedented step in revealing some of histories most polarizing figures little secrets, namely, that they were all apart of the lesbian, gay, or bisexual community.

A controversial article has many, especially those in the Black community, highly pissed off.

A writer for British newspaper, The UK Guardian, is asserting that revolutionary and Black activist, Malcolm X, engaged in a myriad of gay, sexual relationships and was bisexual.

Peter Tatchell gives “credence” to his claim by citing unreliable second-hand sources, claiming that members of Malcolm's family and several Black activists have worked tirelessly to cover his homosexual relationships while keeping the media unaware of the “full spectrum” of his sexuality.

Tatchell even pointed to instances, cited by other misguided writers, of accounts putting the Black Liberation and civil rights icon in a dress!

There is no doubt that everyone has secrets, but this man (and everyone else who has added to this nonsense) should feel the shame of one million liars for attempting to tarnish the name of a man that played a huge role in the securing of our rights as Black Americans.

Malcom X served as the fiery sword to Martin Luther King's dove; his work has never truly been appreciated in mainstream society, but he is appreciated and idolized by those who are benefiting from his contributions to a legendary movement.

One of our most proud Black leaders does not need to have his legacy besmirched, added to annals of unspoken, discredited Black leadership, all because one man is mad that he can't "marry" his old roommate from college.

The struggle by Black Americans for Civil Rights is not the same as the LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender) fight for the "right" to marry, and I am sorry for those that believe they are related in any way.

Bottom line, Malcolm X was an imposingly powerful and brilliant man in life, and he has surpassed legendary status in death. No man can take that away from him. Peter Tatchell is the worst kind of scum bucket, bottom-feeding, troglodyte resembling trash!

As*hole. . .

The saying goes that behind every good man there stands a woman and the fact must still remain as it pertains to Kanye West and Amber Rose. With everything that has erupted since the Taylor Swift incident at the VMAs, West has had his neck pressed by the boot of the media and fans with no signs of letting him up to breathe.

This goes to show, Black America should never mess with a white female under such circumstances because nothing seems promising aside from an everlasting taste of scrutiny. If anything in history remains intact, it is the consequences that can occur as the country still continues to mask the ongoing issue of race and equality.

False reports started to circulate that West was a victim to a fatal car accident. This must have been the final straw as Rose took to Twitter to clear up these rumors and give some words for those that continue to hope for West's downfall.

DaRealAmberRose: This RIPKanyeWest topic is not funny and it's NOT TRUE! He has people like myself and his family that love him very much.

DaRealAmberRose: It's in extreme poor taste to have that as a trendy topic. It's totally disrespectful to make up a story like this where all human

DaRealAmberRose : And we all make mistakes and to say someone died cuz of a mistake is ridiculous. U wouldn't' want someone to say that about u.

It's always a breath of relief to see a woman standing behind her man, especially in the industry. When everything goes sour, times like these show the true faces of some and expose those that were only there to shine while they could.

Some reports have stated that West relocated to India and others have stated that he is back in Chicago working on music, wherever the rapper may be, he has clearly decided to remain outside of the limelight for a while.

In the meantime, he has prepped books to continue his story whereas his actual face and voice aren't much wanted right about now.

Let's be honest with one another. Okay, so West did what he did to “innocent” Swift and he went back and apologized for his actions. Whether it was his ego or the alcohol speaking, what's done is done, but for people to still be tripping over the whole ordeal is completely ridiculous.

It must be true that one day America loves you and the next day they can turn their back on you.
