Last night in Washington, D.C., Common, Aretha Franklin, Raekwon, Jill Scott, Anthony Hamilton, DJ D-Nice, and more, all came out to celebrate MLK weekend and the BET Honors at the "Hennessy VS BET Honors After Party" event at The Park on Fourteenth and at The National Portrait Gallery.

The gang of celebrities started out their night at the BET Honors and afte wards, they party hopped from one Hennessy VS event to the other.

It was like a high school reunion for the artists who chatted with each other and danced the night away.  Below are a few photos.

The 59th Annual BMI Pop Music Awards were held last night in Beverly Hills, California.  The songwriters and publishers of the most performed pop songs in the United States were honored.

Lady Gaga, Jason Derülo and JR Rotem all became the BMI Pop Songwriters of the Year. Keri Hilson was a part of the tribute to honoree David Foster, but her dress could have won an award of its own. Check her out and some of the other stars in the building.

Artists such as Anthony Hamilton, Estelle, and Grammy-winning rapper, Atlanta's Ludacris, were on hand to give respect to soul music titan Otis Redding.

Estelle sang Redding's classic, “Satisfaction,” a Rolling Stones original that became one of Redding's trademark songs.

Children Dexter and Otis III were on hand to perform with Anthony Hamilton.

Ludacris was honored by the Big “O” Youth Educational Foundation, a charitable foundation founded in remembrance of Redding's legacy, for his numerous charitable works.

“I'm just a fan of Otis Redding,” said the rapper. “His legacy will live forever and he has been one of the major influences in who I am. It's as simple as that.”
