“I won't allow myself to be placed in a box where I can only do one style, or do one kind of music. They should expect the unexpected on this one.”

Some say that imitation is a form of flattery and those that choose to semi-replicate what another does can only be the start of a trend later down the road.

However a person chooses to rank the production supplied on The Blueprint III, sales indicated that Jay-Z's sound was becoming more universal and many were embracing some of his Euro-style beat selection.

Apparently, 50 Cent was taking notes as well as he plans to infuse some more international appeal and sound as he begins to work on his fifth solo project Black Magic.

Probably realizing that the aggressive content is starting to become obsolete to the consumer, 50 seems to have resorted to a new game plan for his upcoming project.

Hip-Hop music might have initially been meant for the streets, but it's clearly not what is going to the local stores to actually buy the product.

During an interview with DopeMoney, the rapper spoke on his reasoning for such a left turn and who could appreciate such a shift.

“If they can understand how I enjoy different genres of music and different styles, for the people who have various tastes in music, they'll really like it.”

Check here for the rest of the interview:

Now that Game has officially become the Doctor's Advocate once again and made his return alongside Dr. Dre on Aftermath records, the two have been steadily working on both of their upcoming projects together.

Apparently, there have come to be some stipulations in regards to Game and his upcoming album The R.E.D. Album, as delegated by Dre.

Sources are reporting that Game will not be allowed to throw any disses at 50 Cent on the album. Their original falling out was allegedly, in part, due to the beef that had brewed between Game and 50 after he was kicked out of G-Unit.

Well, if that's not what we call being “sonned” than what is?

This would, however, go to show that Dre isn't actually teaming with Game again to deliver a bitter jab towards 50 as some may have speculated before.

Rumors have been circulating that the relationship between 50 Cent and Dre isn't what the media portrays and it is only through Eminem why the two are able to co-exist. I

n regards to such statements, neither side has issued a statement, but Dre working on Before I Self Destruct and 50 reportedly on Detox should be an indication that the two are playing nice.

As the rap career of Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson continues to slowly fizzle into obscurity, the rapper continues to leave his footprints in the movie industry as he is making the transition into also becoming an actor.

Alongside Randall Emmett, Jackson has begun work on his next film, titled “Things Fall Apart”, which was produced and stars the rapper/actor.

The script was penned by 50 and Brian Miller and will be directed by Mario Van Peebles.

Unlike the films “Before I Self Destruct”, “Get Rich Or Die Tryin” or most other films associated with Jackson, this one won't provide as much focus on the aspect of violence as Jackson will star as a football running back.

Known for his own personal tragedies in life, 50's character will face his trials in life during his senior year in college.

Under his Cheetah Vision Films banner, the film is set to have production handled under the imprint. Cheetah Vision recently wrapped up “The Gun” which stars Jackson and Val Kilmer.

Clearly becoming more enthusiastic about making film, Jackson spoke with Daily Variety on the process in comparison to making a record.

"You have 90 minutes and 120 pages, compared with three minutes for a song," Jackson noted. "I've become very passionate about making films."

With films such as “Righteous Kill” and “Home Of The Brave” under his belt in supporting roles and upcoming roles in “Twelve” and “Jekyll and Hyde”, Jackson is surely inching his way out of music and submerging himself behind the silver screen.

As it was reported earlier, rapper Game made the announcement that everything had truly come full circle as he was now rolling with Dr. Dre once again and joined the team of Aftermath Records once again.

Apparently, there are rumors swirling that Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson isn't sitting too well with having his enemy on the same label as him and has stated that he will not stay on the label now that the West Coast rapper is back.

It's even been taken as far as saying that he won't even work with Dre while Game is signed back to the team.

Now, for the record, 50 hasn't seemed to be in a pleasant relationship with the producer for some time as the years have progressed. On Before I Self Destruct, the rapper pointed out the fact that Dre didn't do anything when Game betrayed G-Unit on “So Disrespectful”.

It can also be noted that Dre started working with Ashanti, which was once his enemy due to her allegiance with Ja Rule.

Adding more politics, Jackson had already made the statement that he was ready to leave Interscope due to the shady business that he's had to deal with during his music career. Yayo made that statement that himself and Banks were now free agents, so why not just round it out and lead the G-Unit movement on an independent route?

It seems that 50 may have been true in his sentiments off of his last album because it seems now like the walls are caving in from all sides with no way out. There is, however, nothing wrong with going back to step 1 and starting from scratch.

The life of a rapper is a hustle and there must never be an opportunity missed to make money to build on an empire.

For rapper Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, the promotional machine behind his VitaminWater has landed the rapper inside a truck handing out burritos to his hungry “fans” during the X games recently.

Even a man at such a caliber of 50 has no problem in getting his hands a little dirty for a common cause: A bigger paycheck.

Always willing to come from the ground up, Jackson apparently has no boundary lines when it comes to exposing himself. It's a surprise that the burrito didn't come with a copy of Before I Self Destruct.

The fans wanted him to return to his gritty sound that created his image in 2003's Get Rich Or Die Tryin and when he made the attempt, the lackluster sales of Before I Self Destruct solidified the fact that catering to the fans might not always be the best way to fatten one's own pocket.

He has stated, however, that the response overlooks the actual sales, but that's sort of like someone talking trash before playing a game, then losing, then saying ‘Hey, it was a good game'.

Whatever the case may be, Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson has reportedly been in the works to create yet another album, but this time it will reach out for the mainstream appeal.

So, is this like the "Gangsta's Delight" version of The Blueprint III?

Making a major transition from his usual blueprint, there have been rumors that Jackson will be playing fairly this time around and will be reaching out to other rappers for the project.

There have been rumors of the album being titled Black Magic, but there has been no confirmation of such name.

Maybe that whole reuniting New York thing had an ulterior motive after all.

It had also been said that he will be working with producers such as Drumma Boy, Timbaland, Bangladesh and Swizz Beatz.

Well, sounds like another attempt at Curtis, and everyone knows how that one turned out. Oh well, one can only wait and see what 50 Cent will deliver with his next official project.

He tried to give "Crime Wave" and now he has to go back to the "Candy Shop"...sigh...

“What do I gain by squashing it?”

Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson and his “ganster” persona has transitioned him from being an artist that delivers raw and uncut aggressive content to a rapper whose name is synonymous with beef.

With Before I Self Destruct on hiatus until the close of the year, 2009 was full of notable moments for Jackson as he waged war against Rick Ross and opened old wounds back up with Jay Z when he decided to affiliate himself with Beanie Sigel.

Coincidentally, more will remember the rapper for his antics in the year as opposed to the actual album which was overshadowed by constant push backs.

Throughout it all, throughout his career, the rapper has painted himself as the bully and seems to be unwavering from shaking that image anytime soon.

Talking on Power 105 with DJ Clue and DJ Envy, Jackson opened up more on his need to turn the beef with Ross into more of a spectacle instead of something serious.

“Everyday I'm hustling, I'm believing that's who he is. Then you look and think, ‘Hey, he's a cop, you serious?' Then everything else that comes out I can't take this serious, I gotta go Pimpin Curly. I need something else that's effective and laugh at it, so no one else takes it serious.”

Jackson also elaborated on his “relationship” with Jay which has taken constant turns as the years have progress from friends to opponents.

“Because it's the competitive nature of the art form. It's still there, he competes too. He just does it so subliminal that people don't read it.”

Check below as 50 Cent speaks more on beef and his competitive nature.

The closing of 2009 solidified a few things that were before uncertain as 50 Cent dropped Before I Self Destruct.

Not only was the rapper able to finally release the much delayed album, but he was also able to make the statement that he can still, for the most part, deliver that raw aggressive material that gained him such fan fare in 2003 and during his come up.

One thing left uncertain, however, is the future of Beanie Sigel as it relates to his music career. Granted, yes there will always be an outlet for his to release material, but being driven by the machine known as Fif, one would have thought that teaming up would lead to something greater.

Alas, Beans is still where he was before joining 50 to attack Jay Z and those whereabouts are unknown to anybody. Point in case is that nothing has blossomed, as far as the masses can see, for Sigel.

During an interview in The Source, the Broad Street Bully addressed the claims that 50 was only using the Philly rapper in order to promote his album and bring more buzz in his direction.

“If 50 Cent is using Beans to do what he's going to do, that's cool. But at the same time, Beans is using 50 Cent to do what I need to be done. So at the end of the day we use each other, but we don't misuse each other.”

Now if that's true, what exactly is Beans getting out of the deal. There hasn't been any update on him signing with G-Unit. Haven't actually heard anything from him in quite some time after dropping the three tracks.

It seems like it was a short run, but hey the ride was decent while it lasted unless there's business going on behind closed doors. Let's all get back to our scheduled lives and maybe the two will find a way to surprise everyone.

In the meantime, how about a moment of silence to commemorate what was.

“After that, I won't offer any mixtape material.”

Before Lil Wayne was setting new heights with his mixtape hustle and Gucci Mane was popping up on any and every mixtape, 50 Cent and G-Unit were known as the pioneers to the mixtape circuit and can take full responsibility for revolutionizing it and making it so essential for an artist to have before making the mainstream leap.

Unleashing mixtapes such as Guess Who's Back and 50 Cent Is The Future were the initials staples that brought the attention of Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson to the likes of Eminem and Dr. Dre who felt it best to align themselves with such an aggressive, yet potential, rising star.

He has continued his run along with his cohorts on countless DJ Whoo Kid mixtapes and he most recently built anticipation for his fourth album with War Angel and Forever King.

All good things, however, must come to an end, as Jackson has stated that his career in the mixtape game is coming to an end with the release of his next.

Speaking with VIBE, the rapper states that the work was already in the process way before the actual album was done.

“The next mixtape was already, portions of it were already records before the release of Before I Self Destruct, but I didn't want to release so close to the actual album where people would make comparisons between the material cause their both up to standard.”

As many feel as though his aggressive content is obsolete, there are still fans out there that want to hear that gritty, gun-toting rapper from Get Rich Or Die Tryin' and prior to his mainstream career.

Some people just like to hear tales of violence.

“I feel like my core that really enjoys the aggressive content might enjoy the mixtape and try to compare it to what I did, performance wise, on the actual record. I know, hands down, the album is better, but I just didn't want to put it out there at that point.”

Having such a long run, it only makes sense that he sheds away the past as he moves on with his career. Already thinking outside of music, Jackson has placed his focus on films, whether he be acting or penning scripts, so it is apparent that his career is leaps from being strictly based on music.

If this upcoming, yet to be titled mixtape, is the last that fans hear from 50 Cent, hopefully the rapper can leave fans with a literal bang as the curtains close.
