Despite an audio interview where DJ Premier explained how he refused to allow Justin Bieber a spot on the BET Hip-Hop Awards cypher, the legendary Hip-Hop producer denies he's was the sole reason Bieber wasn't allowed to spit his 16.

In the interview Premier said:

"Justin Bieber asked if he could do the cypher and everybody was worried that might mess up the integrity of BET," Premier said.

"I was like yo, as long as he got a dope rhyme, let him spit. But then we heard he wants Luda to write his rhyme."

"I was like oh no, no, no, no. If you ain't writing your own rhyme, you can't do it, so Justin, you gotta take a backseat. Write your own rhymes, honey."

Now that the story has hit the internet, DJ Premier is backing off of his statement.

Here's what he said on Twitter:

Ok, maybe "ban" is a strong word. But we can say that Premier did have influence in keeping Bieber off of the BET Hip-Hop Awards cypher, whether Ludacris was going to write his rhymes or not.

While it was an improvement from the BET Awards that aired a couple of months ago, there were still many things at the BET Hip-Hop Awards that we could of went without.

The Cyphers, most performances, and line up were all pretty straight, but it wouldn't be a BET show if we didn't raise our eyebrows at least a couple of times.

DMX doesn't care about other rappers, he has no regrets about missing awards shows in the past and he's not apologizing for anything he's done because it made him the man he is today.

His tenacious performance at the BET Hip-Hop Awards was followed up by an appearance on 106th & Park where Terrence and Rocsi tried their best to find out more about Earl Simmons' mission, his take on the game and how he's going to affect it.

Describing the industry as "different," X claims it was in the same state when he made his original debut back in 1998. Maybe he will have a similar impact again and spread his message, which is simply to "pick up and interpret for those with no voice."

Hip-Hop ruled supreme last night as the 2011 BET Hip-Hop Awards aired last night on Black Entertainment Television.

The big winner of the night however wasn't a professional MC but R&B singer/part-time rapper Chris Brown (Rappers Ya'll Gotta Step Your Game Up.).

Breezy's "Look At Me Now"took home  "Best Hip-Hop Video," "Reese's Perfect Combo Award" and "Verizon's People's Champ."

Lil Wayne took home two awards for "Lyricist Of The Year" (NOT SURE ABOUT THAT 1, Maybe Flow) and "Best Live Performer."

Other notable winners including Nicki Minaj who won "Made-You-Look Award (Best Hip Hop Style)", Lex Lugar, who took home "Producer Of the Year", and Kanye West,  whose  My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, won "CD Of The Year."

LL Cool J was also awarded the "I Am Hip-Hop Icon Award" for his contributions to the game as his Dirty Nelly presented him with the prestigious honor.

The awards also were a coming home show as DMX and T.I. respectively murdered the stage with their comeback performances since being set free from the bing.

The Ciroc vodka head welcomed over 2000 BET award attendees to the city's REIGN Nightclub compliments of Alex Gidewon and AG Entertainment.

Included in that list of guests was Toya Wright, her husband Memphitz and Busta Rhymes.
