Hip-Hop veteran AZ has stated that his upcoming album Doe or Die 2 may be his last.

In an interview with Mikey T the Movie Star, AZ states that people need to learn how to bow out gracefully.

"I think after [my next album] Doe or Die 2, I'ma wrap it up," AZ said in the interview. "It's been fun, it's been fun, I did good. You gotta go out like [undefeated boxer Floyd] Mayweather. Mayweather go out, he'll jump back in but he's gonna go out without scars. So I'm cool, I did a good job."

AZ also spoke about the motivation behind his albums and touched on the possibilities of a Nas collaboration.

" I reached out to [Nas],” AZ told SOHH in an interview. " I think he's going through a couple of whirls, he's going through a lot of situations so we haven't really sat down and politic'ed and talked about everything.

Actually, I did reach out for this Doe Or Die 2, that's what I'm working on, the Doe Or Die 2 stuff. Raekwon did the Cuban Linx [2], and The Blueprint 3 and the Carter III and IV, so them sequels do good in the marketplace. So I'm trying to do this Doe Or Die 2, I reached out to him, I haven't gotten feedback as of yet, but like I said, look at what he's going through."

Doe Or Die 2 is due out in stores next year.

Jay-Z's "Empire State Of Mind" will replace Frank Sinatra's "New York, New York" at the 142nd running of the Belmont Stakes.

The New York Racing Association said it will play "Empire State of Mind" as the horses are brought out on the track for tomorrow's race.

Jigga's track is featured on his latest platinum selling album Blueprint III and features Alicia Keys.

Sinatra's version has been played since 1997. Prior to that, a vaudeville tune called "Sidewalks of New York" was the race's main song.

Teenage singer Jasmine Villegas will perform Jay and Alicia's version.

The Yankees also previously took a liking to the song and played it throughout their champonship run.

Since Trey Songz and Young Jeezy decided to join Jay-Z on his BP3 tour, the trio has been hanging around with one another more often.

With rumors circulating, there has been speculation that the three were planning to form their own group, known as the Mob Squad.

Following Songz speaking on the chemistry that they have while they perform together, fusing the street feel of Jeezy, the R&B sound of Trey and the mainstream appeal of Jay, there is now word going around that a record will be coming.

During an interview with Greg Street on V-103 Atlanta, Jay decided to break the news of what's to come and that the wheel has already started turning.

"Yeah, the Mob Squad, I'm trying to put that together. Trey made a song, I'm just trying to refine the hook so we can get our first song out there. I don't know if Jeezy heard it yet so I'm probably gonna surprise him with this but we got [it.] Mob Squad."

Without mention of a release or the concept, the pure idea is something that could light the music world on fire as each member has control over their particular market.

“In the lane of “Forever”, but not really. It's that type of triumphant feel. I'm excited about it.”

After only playing the hook for “Off That” for The Blueprint III, some fans were definitely off the track from Jay-Z's album as they had expectations of an actual verse from rapper Drake.

As the rapper continues to finish up his debut album Thank Me Later, fans might have a second opportunity to actually hear the two rap back and forth for a track titled “Light Up”.

With the album being pushed back from its February release to March, Drake will have some more time to ensure that he makes that great first impression that everyone is anticipating from him since he created So Far Gone.

Catching up with Rap Up, the Young Money member spoke on his emotions towards the record and waiting on the green light from Jay.

“I actually did the record, with Jay-Z, last night in the studio. It's crazy. I'm really, really excited about it. I just did it, I hope he likes it.”

The rapper seemed to have a lot of pressure going through his mind as he tried to craft the right record that would suit both artists and create the greatest possible outcome.

“It's a special record. I woke up, cause at first I was like I don't know what type of hook I wanted to do and I really wanted to make a rap record.”

With past gems such as “Best I Ever Had” and “Successful” and recent works with Alicia Keys on “Un-Thinkable”, the young sensation clearly has a knack for great music. Unfortunately for Drake, he has set the bar even higher for himself so hopefully he can reach it.

By the way things are shaping up, the year, or at least the close, may very well belong to Brooklyn's own son Jay-Z. Being named number 1 by MTVs Hottest and dubbed the King of the Mountain in the rap game, Hov may have another reason to gloat.

With the playoffs coming to a close and the matchup set between the Yankees and the Phillies, there have been reports that Hovi will be opening up the festivities with Alicia Keys to perform “Empire State of Mind” at Game 1.

It feels that all of New York will be riding for the Yankees with Jigga on the baseball diamond.

Aside from being the single from The Blueprint III, the track has come through and swept up everything around its path like a hurricane. As New York continues its steady climb back to the top, the single has become the new anthem for the Mecca of Hip-Hop.

Already having the Yankees remix “Run This Town,” the rapper seems to be capitalizing on his ever growing exposure which hasn't been as stellar and evident until now. For those that say otherwise, flip back to when he was able to break barriers and have Oprah sitting with him in Brooklyn.

40 must be the new 30 as his dominance has shown that not even the elders of the game can lose their step when it comes to the rap. It is always good to have new faces populate and diversify the scene, but it truly takes a veteran to show everyone how it is done.

Although the Phillies are making their second return to the Big Game in a row, New York will be making their first return in almost a decade. Always hailed as the team to watch out for, with enough championships to back it up, the Yankees had been going through some trials which held them back year after year from recapturing their glory of yesterday.

Game 1 begins on Wednesday, October 28 at Yankee Stadium.

Also checkout Jigga, Alicia and Lil Mama'a "remix" performance of "Empire State Of Mind" here.

Fans whom watched the 2009 VMA Music Awards found themselves shocked at some times and mildly amused at others. No doubt Kanye's incessant whining and harshly forthcoming remarks made at the expense of Taylor Swift were one of the show's main highlights, but someone else earned the honor of the most talked about loon to serve recent memory.

In a surprising move, Lil' Mama of America's Best Dance Crew fame, crashed Jay-Z's and Alicia Keys performance of “Empire State of Mind” during the show's grand finale. Onlookers watched as HOV visibly showed displeasure in the “Lip Gloss” rapper joining him onstage, even telling her that she was “T-Paining” at one point during the performance, making reference to when T-Pain commandeered the spotlight from Jay-Z's performance of “D.O.A.”

Still, the superiorly below-lackluster female MC saw her performance through to the end. Representatives for the “Greatest Rapper of All Time” claimed that they had “no clue how” Lil' Mama ended up on the stage during his performance.

In other Jigga and VMA related news, Wale announced via his Twitter page that he would be pushing the release of his debut album back. “D.C.'s savior,” who served as the house band leader for this year's VMA's, has decided to personally forgo the release of his highly anticipated Attention Defecit freshman offering for two weeks due to his participation in a tour that involves Lupe Fiasco and Jay-Z.

“Ok…I pushed my own album back two weeks..just two weeks..im goin on tour with lupe..and I scheduled a lot of talk shows.”

Speaking of albums, Jay-Z has already started working on his next studio album. Still untitled, HOV has promised that his next gift to the masses will be his “most experimental ever.”

“I wanna make the most experimental album I ever made. That's where I'm at right now,” stated Jay-Z to MTV. “My next album, which I'm working on now…it's not gonna be a number one album.”

While dedicated Jigga fans scrambled to get tickets to his prolific 9/11 concert before it sold out in minutes, seedy scalpers dove into the ticket pool and collected them for a benefit of their own. As previously reported by Hip-Hop Wired, just hours after the tickets sold out, they appeared on various websites priced from $200 to over $3,000. After hearing the news, the man of the hour himself went in on the scalpers verbally Kufi-smacking them for taking food out of the mouths of the families of police and firefighters killed in the line of duty.

“We are truly disheartened that certain individuals would choose to benefit from what is meant to be a 100% charitable event. We do not support any profits made from reselling any ticket that was meant to be purchased by honest fans."

Now after getting their hand caught in the cookie jar, one scalping company (Yeah we didn't know they existed either) is bowing down to Hov and donating their illegal proceeds to charity. StubHub.com released a statement from their president, Chris Tsakalakis, saying that they would “Answer The Call” and donate 100% of their squandered profit to the organization benefiting from the show, The New York Police and Fire Widows' and Children's Benefit Fund. Tsakalakis puckered up his lips to Hov's ass saying:

“We strive to provide a first-in-class experience for our fans and have chosen to partner with the New York Police and Fire Widows' and Children's Benefit Fund for this event, rather than removing ticket listings and turning fans away. In keeping with the original intent of the concert, we want to be sure that any StubHub profits from Jay-Z`s show go directly to these families."

While the scalping company is tripping over itself to get on Jay's good side, another company, Stubstack.com, is listing tickets for $3, 332. Stubstack is staying true to their money hungry ways and will not be donating their proceeds to charity. Hey, at least they're honest.

The California Senate passed a bill Thursday inspired by the death of Kanye West's mother. If approved by California GovernorArnold Schwarzenegger, the “Donda West Law” would “prohibit performance of electronic cosmetic facial surgery unless, within 30 days before the procedure, a physical examination is conducted and written clearance for surgery is provided.”

The lawmaker primarily responsible for the bill, Assemblywoman Wilmer Amina Carter, believes the bill will save lives. She told the L.A. Times:

“Sometimes patients may think they are well enough for cosmetic surgery, but in reality are not. This bill will potentially save lives."

Donda West passed away in 2007 at the age of 58 from complications with cosmetic surgery. While she did not have “electronic facial surgery,” West went under the knife for a tummy tuck and breast reduction, allegedly without having a proper physical beforehand. She ultimately died from preexisting coronary and multiple postoperative factors following surgery.

The day that Jay decided to put down the mic and step inside the office of Def Jam as the president, this was the same day that the Dynasty began to crumble. Once the relationship and ties between him and Dame were severed, the castle came crashing down. Lines were drawn as half of the camp stayed with Jay and the other went with Dame.

Jay has been spending the week running from radio to television to promote his new album, The Blueprint III. With everything that has happened, there was never any real clarity with the Roc general as it related to his relationship and ties with the artist that were under his guidance alongside Dame.

In an interview with Angie Martinez, Hov gave an update with who he has been in contact with since everything came to a halt.

“Yeah, I speak to Chris often. Freeway as well. I spoke to Beans when his grandma passed, we had a conversation. I don't speak to Peedi at all, cuz he's a psycho. That's what I truly believe. Not trying to be funny or anything.”

Speaking with Funk Master Flex, Jay broke down the fact that he cannot be held accountable for the direction of the careers for some artists that were once under him.

“It's difficult because I've done so much for them… I gave everybody a shot. Everybody got a chance to sit at the table and make something. So whether you parlayed that into something or let that go away… You know, that's pretty much on you. So if I'm not doing anything tomorrow or the next day, you should be cool with that.”

Peedi Crakk has been the most vocal of the Roc roster as he has shown frustration with his former boss by sending disses at him from all sides. He even spoke of a mixtape he intended to release titled, Camel Season which was clearly intended for Jigga.

Memphis Bleek, who was once the protégé of Jay-Z took some time out with HipHopWired to speak on his relationship with Jay now. With Roc-A-Fella falling and Roc Nation on the rise, Bleek decided to step out on his own and get his own label, Get Low Records, in motion. Although no longer under Jay, the rapper maintains that nothing has changed between himself and his longtime friend from Marcy Projects. No matter how popular he becomes in the eyes of the public, Bleek maintains that he is still Shawn Carter.

“People look at him like as the great, that's Jay, but I don't look at him like that. That's my mans and that's it.”

When you are on the top, everyone feels as though your team should sit on top with you, but that is not always the case. Just because a person helps to usher others in, that does not mean that he/she has to hold their hand the whole way. The ship known as Roc-A-Fella has sank. Sink or swim.
