Calling DJ Bobbito Garcia a Hip-Hop renaissance man has become a cliche, but it doesn’t mean it’s any less true. In his new autobiographical documentary Rock Rubber 45s, Bobbito literally puts all his truth out there for the world to see, and viewers will finish the film feeling richer and more empowered because of it.

The Source magazine’s “Unsigned Hyped” section gets a lot of credit for putting the world on to future Hip-Hop stars. But another entity deserving of such praise is DJ Stretch Armstrong and Bobbito Garcia’s massively influential NYC radio show which gets the documentary treatment in Stretch & Bobbito: Radio That Changed Lives.

Stretch Armstrong and Bobbito Garcia, collectively known as Stretch and Bobbito, co-hosted the legendary The Stretch Armstrong and Bobbito Show from 1990 to 1998 on New York’s WKCR. The dynamic duo are currently preparing to release a 90-minute documentary of their adventures, and are using Kickstarter to raise funds and offer fans some amazing perks for their contributions.
