Ruby Williams says she was at a park fishing with friends when she went to go use the restroom.  She then says two men hit her from behind and called her a ni**er knocking her to the ground.

The two men then rolled the older lady over and while telling her that “her kind was not wanted there” punched her in the mouth before dragging her to an abandoned area of the park.

Williams says she then passed out and believes she was left for dead.

She has six stitches in her lip as well as bruising.

She describes both men as around 20-years-old, one with curly blonde hair and the other as a Hispanic man with dark hair.

Who would beat up an old woman?!

In this latest episode, a 20-year-old San Jose college student has become the latest in an expanding list of “statistics,” shedding more light on an issue that is becoming more visible by the instance.

Phuong Ho was viciously assaulted by San Jose P.D.; beaten over 10 times with a nightstick, with the final blow delivered via taser blast, provided for good measure.

Officers were responding to a scuffle between Ho and his roommate, Jeremy Suftin, whom admitted to putting soap on the young student's steak. Ho responded by picking up a steak knife, proclaiming that Suftin would have been killed in his home country for showing such disrespect.

The first blow was delivered as the 200 lb student bent over to collect his glasses from the floor.

The Vietnamese man pleaded his situation to the police officer to no avail.  The official report for the incident says the officers could not understand him due to his accent.

While the majority of citizens scurry about their respective areas of residence, not fearing any repercussion for living the lives that they do, others are not as fearless or nearly as tranquil.

Those that are apart of the majority never seem to understand the semi-infinite animosity that persists between minority members of our great melting pot of a population and members of the elite group assigned to protect and serve.

Marhsawn Pitts is well aware of the reason behind the distrust and animosity after a first hand crash course in the workings the “long arm of the law.”

In violence plagued Chicago, members of local law enforcement have decided to enter the fray on the side of mayhem, flexing their collective muscle against anyone in site. Unfortunately, Pitts was in the wrong place at the wrong time.

A special education student attending a special needs school on Chicago's south side, 15-year-old Pitts was violently hurled into a set of lockers by the school's resource officer, after which, the teen was immediately locked in a police taught chokehold dubbed the “facedown takedown.”

The reason for such drastic action? The youngster forgot to tuck in his shirt, a blatant violation of school dress code policy.

A Government Accounting Office report detailing statistics about police tactics such as the facedown takedown was released one day prior to the assault on Pitts. It concluded that the “restraint” maneuver was responsible for over 20 fatalities, leading the hold to be banned by eight states, with Illinois is not among them.

When will a day come that police, members of the community assigned to protect and to serve, do the job that they were sworn to do?  Marshawn Pitts, whom has suffered from a brain injury since early childhood, is one of the lucky few. Not lucky in the ordeal that he survived, but lucky that his mishap is propelling the vehicle of change.

Under the guise of protecting the public, actions by officer of the law have grown increasingly gang-like, which is why no one should be surprised to learn of this next incident.

Officials within Pensacola's Police Department are reviewing a case that saw one of their own perform a drive- by on a suspect, delivering a taser blast that could have resulted in the death of a man.

Officer Jerald Ard has been identified as the officer who's methods have resulted in the unnecessary death of a man that was attempting to flee the scene of a crime on a bicycle early Saturday morning.

“There is not an exact prohibition from that [firing from a moving vehicle] in the policy,” said John Mathis, Pensacola PD Police Chief.  “…It [police training] does not say that you will not fire from a moving vehicle.”

Now on paid administrative leave, the four-year force veteran and his unorthodox methods under administrative review.

It is unclear as to whether the victim, whom has yet to be identified, was killed because of injuries sustained from the taser blast or of damage stemming from Officer Ard crushing him with his police cruiser.
