Lupe Calls Obama The Biggest Terrorist

Lupe Fiasco has never been one to hold back his opinions and had some strong words against President Barack Obama in a recent interview.

While speaking with CBS News' "What's Trending" the Chicago rapper said, “To me, the biggest terrorist is Obama in the United States of America.

“For me, I'm trying to fight the terrorism that's actually causing the other forms of terrorism," he continued.

"The root cause of terrorism is the stuff that the U.S. government allows to happen, the foreign policies that we have in place in different countries that inspire people to become terrorists. And it's easy for us, because it's really just some oil that we can really get on our own.”

Unlike Chicago rapper Common, don't expect Lupe Fiasco to get an invite to the White House anytime soon.

Not that Fiasco would accept an invitation, seeing as he doesn't follow politics.

“I don't vote. I don't get involved in politics," Lupe explained.

"Because it's meaningless, to be honest. First of all, I'm a real big believer if I'm going to vouch for someone, I'm going to stand behind everything they do. If I'm going to say I stand behind this person and write on a piece of paper that says I stand for this person, then I have to take responsibility for everything that he does. Because that's just how I am as a human being.

"Politicians aren't going to do that, because I don't want you to bomb some village in the middle of nowhere.”

“There are certain things you can't say, or sing, on television.”

Ever since the broadcast of the 52nd Annual Grammy Awards this weekend, the Internet has been pulsating in regards to the “unnecessary” censoring of lyrics for the night's closing performances from Eminem, Lil Wayne and Drake.

Check the drastically contrasting performance here.

Stating that the performance were barely able to be heard, there are some that are accusing the FCC and CBS of sabotaging the act, as well as trying to throw a monkey wrench in the only Hip Hop performance featured.

Stepping up to the plate, CBS representative Chris Ender has responded to such allegations being thrown their way.

"It was a rousing musical performance, but words were edited from the live telecast that didn't meet our broadcast standards," Ender explained, according to The Associated Press.

"We have great respect for artists' creative freedom, but there are certain things you can't say, or sing, on television."

According to Ender, the explicit material being showcased by the artists made it quite the task to broadcast it without a certain level of censorship. He added that each entertainer was allowed to perform freely, but were aware of the fact that they had to certain parameter which they had to abide by.

In response, however, there have been reports stated that the rappers actually made sure that their act was cleaned up and censored their lyrics themselves during the performance and replaced explicit language with a clean version or paused.

Eminem and Lil Wayne have been in the game for quite some time, so it only makes sense that they would be aware of this particular occasion and know what type of responsibility they would have to take before hitting the stage for a live audience.

But hey, maybe CBS wasn't being trigger happy with the censor button and maybe Jay Z just happened to have enough prestige to be the only rapper to actually give an aired acceptance speech. It's always a possibility, right?

I call bullsh*t.

LL Cool J has released his latest single “NCIS: No Crew Is Superior.” The track is inspired by his new television show “NCIS: Los Angeles” which will premiere on Tuesday, September 22 at 9 p.m. on CBS.

“NCIS: Los Angeles” is about the high-stakes world of the Office of Special Projects (OSP), a division of NCIS that is charged with apprehending dangerous and elusive criminals that pose a threat to the nation's security. "NCIS: No Crew Is Superior" features LL COOL J rapping about the life and death nature — as well as the virtues — of that line of work. LL spoke of the track in a statement saying:

"This song is the musical interpretation of what I felt after meeting with NCIS agents, experienced Marines and Navy Seals. It represents the collective energy in the room. I was so inspired I wrote the song on set."

C. "Tricky" Stewart who recently produced Beyoncé's "Single Ladies (Put a Ring On It)" and Rihanna's "Umbrella" also lent his production skills to the track. Tricky added,

"It was great to reunite with LL Cool J. His name is stamped on some of the best records that have ever been made in Hip-Hop. Driven by his passion for the project and the strength of the lyrics, he makes my job to create a new track complicated and easy at the same time, because LL always delivers something new and innovative to the genre."

The song's music video, to be released next week, includes behind-the-scenes interaction between LL and Tricky during the recording session and clips from NCIS: Los Angeles.

LL will play "Special Agent Sam Hanna," a former U.S. Navy Seal, on the weekly crime drama. “NCIS: Los Angeles” will also star Chris O'Donnell, Rocky Carroll, Linda Hunt, Peter Cambor, Daniela Ruah and Adam Jamal Craig.
