Unfortunately, the Chicago 4th Of July weekend has become a tradition for gratious violence that has ripped families apart. The madness continued these past three days during a very bloody holiday period were at least eight people were pronounced dead, including a seven-year-old boy.
With or without Kanye West, Spike Lee’s upcoming movie for Chiraq is proceeding as planned, which has plenty of citizens living in the Windy City up in arms over the title.
Another day of shootings in the Windy City has left one person dead, one arrested and twelve people shot, including a Chicago police captain.
It doesn’t take a special occasion or holiday for the city of Chicago to be showered in horrific violence.
**UPDATE** The amount of destruction a few more hours in Chicago can bring is uncanny. In a final tally, the Chicago-Tribune is reporting that 82 people were shot and 14 killed over the past weekend.
