He has narrowed it down to YMCMB, CTE, and Atlantic.

Off the 3 final options, I feel CTE would be the best fit for him. He's already worked with Jeezy on "Understand Me" and his "300" partner, Lil Reese has collabed with Freddie Gibbs on "Ova". It feels as if he signs there, it would be a more natural fit for his brand of music. We'll see in the near future what he chooses to do.

"Soul Train host gave our artist a platform to showcase amazing talent on television when the opportunity for a Negro was limited. BET, MTV & TopMics all came after him and will respectfully continue on his legacy to provide a platform for aspiring artist. Rest In Power Don & Mom."

Akilah's Mom died 10/10/04 and she wrote these lyrics as a poem to help heal.

With the passing of Don Cornelius, the message is still conveyed.

Akilah will also be performing at the CTE Music showcase this month in Atlanta.
