During the 2011 BET Hip-Hop Awards, Vlad TV caught up with Da Brat, who was attending her first awards show since her release from prison earlier this year.

During her interview, the veteran rapper talked about her support for T.I., Amber Rose's body and unlike her counterpart, Lil Kim, Da Brat actually co-signed Nicki Minaj's success.

"I think it's great Nicki Minaj blew up," Brat said. "Any female MC that do they thing, I support every last one of them."

"I don't have no beef. I don't do that. I do my thing, break it down with everybody.

"I just chill and make music, and I wish every female MC would do the same thing. They really ain't enough of us, if you ask me, for us to be doing what's going on. I love everybody."

If only Lil Kim would have given the same answer.

Last night, NYC-based marketing/PR firm the 135th Street Agency kicked off BET Hip Hop Awards week with its 5th Annual BBQ for the first time in Atlanta.

On a beautiful starry night, nearly 400 VIPs packed Piedmont Park's Magnolia Hall, including event co-hosts Fonzworth Bentley and Kelly G (BET's Sr. Music Supervisor), along with DJs Drama, Trauma and Traci Steele.

Ray J, Da Brat, French Montana, Devyne Stephens, Dondria, Lil Duval, Verse Simmonds, Jovita Moore (WSB TV anchor), Kwanza Hall (Atlanta City Council), Faune Watkins, D.Woods, Shanti Das, Derek J and many others also mixed and mingled.

Looks like Da Brat is finally off probation and can travel now as she came out to support her big sis.

Now in an interview with 106 KMEL she's debunking that rumor and speaking on her love for another female emcee, Nicki Minaj.

Before the station's Summer Jam she tells Lady Jady that while she's not dating Da Brat, she doesn't mind the rumor at all.

“I like that rumor, but it wasn't true. But you never know… Hey, I got her number. I might hit her up and be like, ‘Heyyyyy."

Speaking on Nicki Minaj she adds,

"I love Nicki. She fine. I'd kiss her everywhere.”

Da Brat, who was released from prison in March after serving two and a half years for assaulting an Atlanta Falcons cheerleader with a bottle, is looking to take her second chance and begin new ventures outside of music.

In an interview with CNN, Brat talked about her future business moves saying, "I actually didn't do any writing of music while I was locked up. I wrote a book, but I didn't do any music."

"The book is pretty much about myself as a child, growing up in church and the different things I encountered like being in a gang and trying to sell drugs."

Da Brat revealed that she's in the midst of shopping a reality TV show.

"The sad thing about it is most of these networks want the fighting, they want the drunkenness, they want the confrontational and that's not me anymore," she said.

"I've outgrown that and I don't want that to be the main focus. Been there, done that and been through hell because of that."

"I want to show people who I am, introduce them to my family, where I've come from, how I'm helping people with my charity work.

I know it sounds boring, but with that comes with a lot and a lot of bumps in the road."

Brat wasn't completely turned away from music. She released released a new mixtape, Life After Death, which can be found here.

Lets hope through ventures workout for the B-R-A-T.

Jermaine Dupri, Bow Wow and Da Brat performed in front of a packed crowd at Atlanta radio station V103's car and bike show this past weekend.

The performance marked Da Brat's first live performance since being released from prison in March.

Nearly 30,000 watched as Brat joined Dem Franchize Boyz to perform "Oh I Think They Like Me" and her classic "Give It To You."

Da Brat Releases New Mixtape

After years of being missing from the music scene, Da Brat is back with a new mixtape.

The So So Def femcee officially returned Friday through her new project Life After Death featuring 11 new tracks including her take on Chris Brown's "Look At Me Now" and Kelly Rowland's "Motivation."

As previously reported, Brat is said to be working with her "brother" Jermaine Dupri on a new album.

In a recent video blog, Brat and Dupri announced an upcoming mixtape that Da Brat is working on.

Da Brat spent the last few years in jail for an aggravated assault conviction. She was released in March.

Fans can expect her new mixtape on Memorial Day weekend.

You'll have to sit through three minutes of JD struggling on a beat machine, but Da Brat will pop up after that.
