When the authorities ran his name, multiple warrants for his arrest popped in their system. To make matters worse, turns on the former Death Row honcho allegedly was in the possession of a small amount of marijuana.

Suge was arrested and released shortly thereafter, but the kicker is that he is still on probation. Hope he hires a good lawyer or else Suge can be heading back to the bing.

According TMZ, former CEO of Death Row Records Suge Knight has been sentenced to three years of probation for driving on a suspended license.

As TMZ first reported, Suge's badass black truck was impounded back in February -- after cops cited Knight for driving on a bum license.

Suge pled no contest to the charge -- and was given three years unsupervised probation.

It's the second time the guy's been nailed for driving on a suspended license -- let's hope he learns his lesson.

Cory Maye, a Mississippi man once sentenced to death for killing a police officer, will go free after pleading to manslaughter 10 years after the polarizing 2001 shooting death.

tMaye, 30, was charged with capitol murder in the  death of white police officer Ron Jones, Jr.

Maye shot and killed Jones after a group of officers, including Jones, mistakenly burst into his home.

The officers were acting on a tip from a reportedly racist drug abuser that someone was selling drugs out of a nearby apartment and police officers kicked in the wrong door.

Maye fired three shots at the officers, later testifying that he thought they were robbers and after realizing he shot a cop, immediately surrendered to police.

The officer he killed was the son of Prentiss Police Chief Ron Jones, Sr.an Rarcial tensions were high.

Maye was charged with the intentional killing of Jones Jr.

Following lengthy delays, Mayes' trail started in 2004. In the fall of 2007, Judge Michael Eubanks threw out Maye's death sentence, citing that he had received inadequate defense.

In November 2007 the Mississippi State Court of Appeals granted Maye a new trial. The following year, the Mississippi State Supreme Court upheld the order for the new trial.

After serving 10 years in prison Maye will soon be a free man due to time already served.

Morgan Creek Productions and Skee.TV/Karmaloop.TV have announced the online casting call for the highly anticipated motion picture “Tupac” based on the life of the legendary icon Tupac Shakur directed by Antoine Fuqua.

The casting call, which began on Friday, March 18, allows individuals who exemplify Tupac to upload their video audition to www.InSearchOfTupac.com.

Fans and entrants are encouraged to check the website often as important announcements and additional opportunities will be unveiled during the course of the month-long audition.

“This audition process is a great example of utilizing today's ever-evolving technology to reach fans and actors around the world to pay homage to a hip-hop legend.”

“Tupac” chronicles the life and legacy of Tupac Shakur including his rise to superstardom as a hip hop artist and actor, his imprisonment and controversial time at Death Row Records where he was steeped in the East Coast /West Coast rap war.

“Tupac” will be directed by Antoine Fuqua (“Training Day,” “Tears of the Sun,” “Brooklyn's Finest”).

The film will be produced by James G. Robinson, David Robinson and LT Hutton, and executive produced by Tupac's mother, Afeni Shakur.

The screenplay was written by Stephen J. Rivele, Christopher Wilkinson and Steve Bagatourian. Universal Pictures distributes in the United States and co-distributes with Morgan Creek International overseas.

Speaking on requirements for the lead role in the biopic, Producer David Robinson said,

"We're looking for someone with the right mix of raw charm and charisma for the role. At this point, we're more concerned about finding someone with the ability to give their entire heart into the performance than just looks and personality.”

Over the course of the campaign, www.InSearchOfTupac.com will feature rare video footage and exclusive interviews from Tupac Shakur's life as seen on the official website www.2pac.com.

Suge Knight and Kanye West have finally reached a settlement in an ongoing lawsuit filed by the Death Row head.

As previously reported, Knight filed a $1 million lawsuit against West after he was shot in the femur during a 2005 VMA Awards after party where Ye was hosting.

Knight also says he lost a valuable earring at the club worth $135,000 and paid over $200,000 in medical expenses because Ye failed to have adequate security.

A federal judge tossed the $1 million lawsuit out in November however, a month before it was set to go to trial.

The judge concluded that there was no evidence that a shooting at the party was predictable.

Now according to the Associated Press, Suge recently dropped an appeal he filed against the ruling.

As a result, both sides are said to have reached a confidential agreement to settle court costs.

The murder of The Notorious B.I.G is one of hip-hop's cold cases that may never get solved. Fourteen years after the fatal night Christopher Wallace left a party at the Petersen Automotive Museum in California and a black Chevy Impala rolled up beside his SUV, the LAPD's involvement is still in question.

In 2005, a civil suit was filed by Wallace's family against the city of L.A after it was discovered that there was evidence being hidden by the police force linking two undercover officers, David Mack and Rafael Perez to the crime and the label Death Row Records.

Both Mack and Perez were later convicted of other crimes. Mack for bank robbery while Perez stole and resold cocaine from police evidence lockers.

Now according to KCAL 9, A cellmate of Perez recently provided new information supporting a cover up of the incidents that took place on March 9th, 1997 to news station.

“Perez was working security. Perez had a cell phone. Perez said he called over to Mack, David Mack on his cell phone. Perez told Mack that Biggie Smalls was in his truck. Perez never said that he set up Biggie Smalls but I have heard that he…had something to do with that murder,” according to the inmate.

He also tied the officers to Death Row Records, claiming they went to all of their parties.

Former lead investigator, Russell Poole says these statements are just a glimpse into hundreds of pages of documents that were hidden from Wallace family attorneys.

Poole, who resigned from the LAPD in 1999 says that the LAPD has a reason to hide the officers' involvement. The Rodney King beating, the riots that followed, and the verdict in the O.J. Simpson case were all blemishes on the track record of the department.

If two minority officers had something to do with the killing of a rap superstar, especially while one of them was on-duty, the city would face embarrassment, racial tension and be liable for hundreds of millions of dollars.

Is that enough reason to keep this case cold?

Mack and Perez have both served their sentences and are free today.

As previously reported, the Death Row Records head had a number of his items sold at auction in February by the owner of ‘Conejo Valley Moving & Storage' who said he owed him money.

Similarly, Knight's items were seen being sold on the premier of  A&E's “Storage Wars."

The auction was said to be successful making $4,500 dollars in 30 minutes off Suge's property including furniture, clothing, appliances and gym equipment.

A large picture of Suge and Tupac was sold for $100.

“Storage Wars” focuses on people who buy the contents of storage lockers that have gone into default.

In 2009 items from Death Row's catalog including unreleased recordings and various award show trophies were sold to the highest bidder.

Some of Knight's personal items including his underwear were sold as well.

He previously put his Los Angeles mansion up for sale after filing for bankruptcy

But considering he was recently arrested for assault with a deadly weapon, taken to court for child support, and facing a $6 million tax lien, he can mark this latest run in with the law as a slight win.

According to TMZ sources, the former Death Row head was pulled over in L.A. around 3 AM for a traffic violation when police realized he was driving on a suspended license.

The cops put Knight in the back seat of a patrol car while they rifled threw his car and belongings.

After the search came up empty, Knight was given a ticket for driving with a suspended license and released.

This will add another court date to the already hefty judicial schedule for Knight.

As recently reported, Suge is suing Kanye West for $1 million after he was shot in the femur during a 2005 VMA Awards after party that Kanye was hosting.

After a failure to mediate the matter last month, the case could go to trial.

In July an arrest warrant was put out on Knight for missing a court date for, ironically, driving on a suspended license.

Knight's attorney Marc Brumer says the two did not reach an agreement however and the case will now likely go to trial.

A lawyer for Ye declined to comment.

The shooter in the 2005 case has not been identified and the case remains unsolved.

Knight and his DeathRow Records empire filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in 2006.
