mousebudden The making of MM4 begins..... 2morrow.

Since exiling himself from the spotlight for a brief hiatus, rapper Joe Budden has dealt with many trials and triumphs in 2009.

From beef with Raekwon and Method Man to a public break up with former girlfriend Tahiry, the rapper has stayed true, for the most part, to his “No Comment” campaign.

While the world still waits for The Great Escape, Budden is getting ready to jump back into the mixtape circuit with Mood Muzik 4.

It also looks as though the rapper has big plans this time around and is enlisting the help of other rappers for the event.

mousebudden @JayElectronica u free tomorrow ?? need u to call me.

Known as the legs that were able to keep his career standing while being shelved at Def Jam, bringing a fourth installment into the fray only gives Joey the green light to air out each and every one of his grievances that he has stayed tight lipped about.

Without a release date, his recent work with J. Cardim has given some clue into what type of mood Budden is in, which can only make for good music.

Note to Budden: Don't give a release date until you KNOW it will actually be dropping, people aren't too fond of constant pushbacks these days.

Even with the buzz surrounding Wu Massacre, the three members of the upcoming project are still making their rounds independently.

The release of Wizard Of Poetry showed that rapper Ghostface Killah was a man of many faces and could present himself in various lights.

Showing yet another side to himself, Tony Starks will now be flexing his muscle in his role for a Disney film, When In Rome.

It's starting to look like Disney might not be as racist as everyone once thought with all this spur of color.

Starring in the film as a DJ, Ironman says that his role is minimal, but a check is still a check.

Speaking with Angela Yee on Shade 45, Starks spoke on how the deal went down with Disney.

“They wanted me to get in there. I didn't really get paid for the sh*t or nothing, but I just thought, at the time, just do it cause it's Disney.”

Check the video to hear GFK speak on the film, Wizard Of Poetry and Def Jam.

Being released from prison four months ago, Shyne's return to rap was sidetracked when immigration took it upon itself to have him deported back to Belize.

Since then, Po has been fighting to obtain residency in the United States while being barred from areas such as the United Kingdom due to his criminal past.

These obstacles, however, have yet to throw him from his path as the rapper has signed a deal with Def Jam Records for $1 million.

According to Miss Info, the label was able to reign victorious over a bidding war. His last album, 2004's Godfather Buried Alive, came out on Def Jam. The response to that album in comparison to his debut, however, would have left some to believe that the rapper had begun losing his step while incarcerated.

Now it seems that Drake and 50 Cent aren't the only rappers out getting signed for a seven-figure deal.

The problem that exists now, however, is the process of promoting himself in the States if he is unable to return. Along with that, the verse recorded for DJ Khaled's Victory wasn't exactly the return most fans were looking for from the rapper.

It has been reported that the rapper will record music out of London.

Time will tell exactly how this deal truly works out for Shyne, but at least it's official that the rapper has officially returned.

With the rehashed hostility that Beanie Sigel apparently still has for Jay-Z, many have come to speculate why no other member of the former Roc has stepped up to try and provide more clarity.

Peedi Crakk led his own anti-Jay campaign some time ago and Oschino was quick to take his shots at Jigga along with Sigel.

As a rapper that found himself essentially caught in the middle of a beef, Freeway has finally been able to add more of his input on the ongoing issues that Beans has with Hov.

During an interview with NYMag, Philly Freezer went in on why his fellow Philadelphia native is being relentless against Jay.

“Beans was on the Roc before me, he was the person that brought me there. Him and Jay had a deeper relationship than I did. Obviously there had to be some kind of buildup, 'cause I know Beans love Jay. I know he do. He got to. All the things they been through together.”

As the Broad Street Bully went on to say how business was type shady around the time Jay became president of Def Jam, Freeway had another take on things.

“I mean, I can't complain about Jay at all. He gave me that first major co-sign. That first co-sign was enough for me. I don't got nothing bad to say about him.”

No longer dealing with Def Jam, however, the rapper now feels in his comfort zone and actually has more of a grip on his career.

“I would just do and I didn't even know the process of getting it done, everything even down to the interviews. [Rhymesayers], it's definitely more intimate. Everything that goes on I know about. There's no smoke and mirrors, nothing that's over my head. It's just a good feeling. Feel like I'm in control.”

Who's to say exactly when the verbal assault with stop from Sigel, but one thing is for sure and that is the fact that Free won't be the one to hold a grudge on the past and can only push forward.

“They said I f*cked with Nas and now they say it's AZ/ But on the low, the real n*gga was Jay Z.”

Foxy, she smashed the big homie?

According to Foxy Brown, that may have been the case as it was implicated with her latest track “Let Em Know” featuring Lil Fame of M.O.P. and BAM.

Back in the good old days, the Brooklyn natives were known to deliver some smash hits together such as “I'll Be” and “Ain't No N*gga”, but who would have known that Jay was giving his own smash hits directly to Brown?

Find out more about the heated relationship after the jump] Continue

When the two were beefing, Nas was the first to spew out allegations that the two were messing with one another and some were under the influence that Brown became a little jealous around the time Jay was the head of Def Jam and signed Rihanna while putting her on the back burner, somewhat.

Brown allegedly created rumors that Rihanna was getting “extra help” with her career and was sexual with Jay Z.

The relationship became apparently became sour when she began to lose her hearing as sources reported that Hov felt like she was procrastinating on her album Black Roses and was in the process of completely dropping her from the label.

Whatever the case may be, the truth always surfaces. First, Beanie Sigel and now Foxy Brown airing out the past?

Check the track and be the judge.

LL Cool J is showing no signs of slowing down after more than 20 years in the game. The Queens MC is about to receive some major paper from his moonlighting gig away from the mic. His new television series “NCIS: Los Angeles” has just been sold into syndication after only seven weeks on the air.

CBS TV Distribution has licensed the show to USA for roughly $1.9 million per episode. It will start airing weekly in the fall of 2011.

“NCIS: Los Angeles” is a spin-off from the popular “NCIS” series and the L.A. based version is about the high-stakes world of the Office of Special Projects (OSP), a division of NCIS that is charged with apprehending dangerous and elusive criminals that pose a threat to the nation's security.

LL plays "Special Agent Sam Hanna," a former U.S. Navy Seal, on the weekly crime drama that also stars Chris O'Donnell, Rocky Carroll, Linda Hunt, Peter Cambor, Daniela Ruah and Adam Jamal Craig.

As previously reported, Uncle L is up for consideration for the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Awards. Only five acts will be chosen for the 25th induction ceremony scheduled for March 15, 2010 in New York and the selected inductees will be announced in December. His competition includes esteemed artists in their own lanes including the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Genesis, Jimmy Cliff, Donna Summer, ABBA and Kiss.

Def Jam will also be releasing his second music career highlight installment with All World: Greatest Hits Volume 2, on November 23rd.

“Beanie Sigel is going at Jay-Z, huh? Is that what it's come to in Hip-Hop? Hip-Hop is f*cking wack.”

Mr. No Comment seems to have unlocked the key and is speaking his piece once again. As Beanie Sigel has finally aired his grievances on wax, many artists are beginning to throw in their opinions about the situation.

If anyone has had problems with Jay-Z, it would have to be Joe Budden. Depending on how a person perceives it, Jay might have ended his career at Def Jam once he was placed at the president's table so if any hostility is still burning, it would come from the New Jersey rapper.

With JoeBuddenTV back in full effect, the rapper questions the timing behind the Broad Street Bully's attack.

“Why he ain't never go at him before is what I wanna know.”

Showing his admiration for Beans, Joey doesn't feel like shots at Hov are effective enough to the point where they shouldn't be fired. He also clears up some confusion that may have come recently from his lyrics and has assured everyone that he hasn't had words for Jay since Mood Muzik and has no intentions to create any later on.

“Beans is nice and I like Beans. I just feel like n*ggas dissing Hov is pointless. Mind you, I'm very aware that I dissed Hov countless times. I dissed Hov a bunch of times. I did not diss Hov recently. Contrary to popular belief, I didn't send one line at Hov in that BET Cypher, it's just that now everybody thinks that everything I say is directed towards ‘Too many many blueprints, not enough architects.' That's not a diss to him either. When the fans made it into a diss, I certainly didn't run to correct them because it helped.”

Many such as 50 Cent, Jim Jones, and Cam'Ron have thrown rocks at the thrown, but in comparison, Jay has always reigned triumphant. At the end of the day, all that matters is who is here standing now.

“If you go against Jay-Z, the fight is automatically fixed. I like Jay-Z and I really like The Blueprint III, for the most part. I still enjoy Jay-Z.”

Oddly, Jumpoff added that he is actually rooting for his former foe as he continues to bring some type of needed change to the game and Hip-Hop would essentially fade into nothingness if he was to ever be taken away with the flood of wackiness left to hold down the business.

“If you take him away from Hip-Hop, it's really boring and wack. Think about it. You take Jay-Z away from Hip-Hop and what do you have? Is it the same? No, it's not the same. He definitely dissed me on Blueprint III, I don't care what he says, and he definitely probably blackballed the sh*t out of my career, but I love Jay-Z the artist.”

This family affair needs to be taken care of quickly. As the circle begins to open and more throw in their perspectives, the situation could rise to where it isn't necessary. Too many mouths have too many words and create too many scenarios which only serve in quenching their thirst, but has a negative end result for the actual people involved.

“When he put his arm around me, I felt this force like the devil had a n*gga. A n*gga's heart was beating.”

For those that know Fredro Star, novices may remember him in movies such as Sunset Park, Light It Up and Save the Last Dance. Hip-Hop knows him as a member of Onyx releasing hits such as “Slam” and “Throw Ya Gunz.”

Although the group has been quiet for some time, the rapper/actor has continued to make noise in the industry.

Taking to the web with Tales From the Industry, the rapper has decided to give accounts of some stories of him in the rap game.

One story dealt with the possibility of him joining the ranks of Death Row Records.

According to the rapper, the meeting took place during the premiere of his film Sunset Park. Tupac actually had a song that was featured on the soundtrack and was in attendance along with Suge Knight. After the film ended and everybody was outside taking pictures, Starr and Pac were taking pictures and talking back and forth while Suge just watched.

“This n*gga Suge just sitting there with the cigar in the background looking all mean and sh*t. He ain't saying nothing. Every time I look at this ni*gga Suge, I look at the ni*gga and turn to the side like I ain't fu*cking with this ni*gga and I ain't catching no eye contact with this ni*gga.”

After taking so much time out for silence, he told the rapper to take a walk with him and Pac as they made a trip out to the parking lot and Knight kept it simple.

“I want you on Death Row Records.”

At the time, Fredro Starr was on Def Jam Records. Even more than that, he was a part of Onyx and was with Jam Master Jay. According to him, however, Suge wanted him to leave it all behind him and if necessary, he would take care of his business at Def Jam.

As the wheels started to turn, it was actually Pac's expression that made the rapper think twice about the deal that was on the table.

“The funny thing about this sh*t is, you know Tupac is an animated ni*gga and you see he's always full of life, but when I looked at Pac, when he told me that shi*t, the n*gga looked at like he was saying, ‘Hell no, you don't wanna come over here.' That was the look in the n*ggas eye.”

Although initially excited about the offer, it was through Brandy that he was able to see some clarity of the situation. Stating that she was almost in tears and telling him not to deal with him, the rapper said that he took her words and decided not to get back at Suge and do business with him.

Six months later, Pac was murdered and Fredro feels as though he could have been doing records with Pac, and he could have also been in the car that night.

“I can't use my own music without getting your permission?”

The music industry isn't always what it's cracked up to be. Images may seem a lot different from afar and as people continue to look at artists and envy their luxurious lifestyles has a reality gut check to look forward to.

Too many have been blinded and confused by the flashing lights.

DMX is an artist that has seen the sky as well as the pits in his rap career. Many remember the days when X was on top with Ruff Ryders, but people continue to wonder what actually happened as he seems to be a past memory since as his exploits outweigh the music.

Also making a move towards being independent, there is clearly something going on with major record labels as artists, particularly rappers, continue to find solace in their career when they do it on their own.

While on SLF (Sounds Like Fire), the Dark Man gave some incite about the actual game and the politics that take place behind closed doors between the artist and those that help to shape his/her career in regards to exposure.

“The highest paid artists get 26 cents off a dollar. They sell your sh*t for $20. C'mon dawg, you can do a little better than that.”

Back in the day when Def Jam actually gave priority to their rap artists, the video game industry was hit by storm with the game Def Jam Vendetta which featured the Def Jam roster in a WWE style fighting game. The game's initial success resulted in two sequels.

The rapper, who was featured as a character as well as having his music played, stated that shifty business deals in that forced him to receive the short end of the stick.

“They sell a game for 50 fu&^ing dollars. These ni**as come to me like ‘Yo, guess what X? We're gonna do a part 2 now.' Mind you, they use my music throughout the whole fu$#ing game and I'm the hardest character to get to. So it's pretty much my sh*t. They say they're going to give me a $25,000 advance signing bonus and 2 cents off of every game sold. $50 fu&%ing game and you're giving me 2 cents?”

For young artists that think that the life of an artist is all glitz and glam, think twice before adapting this type of mentality. Nothing comes free and fame has its own prices.
