Def Jam's newest MC, 2 Chainz, stopped by the DJ Tony Touch show, for 'Toca Tuesday's.' Of course, the ATLien had to kick a few bars. While we've grown to expect rappers to spit a verse that we haven't really heard yet, 2 Chainz actually spit a few bars off the dome.

2 Chainz came through on his word and joined Sway on the set of MTV's 'RapFix Live.' While the main subject, where he was signing, to be addressed had already leaked, "Duffle Bag Boyz" rapper officially made the announcement aboout new label deal with Def Jam Records.

After finally speaking officially about the deal, the Atlanta rapper jumped into several topics, such as working with Kanye West for the last year and anticipating the release of some great material.

"We have records together, we have ideas that we're planning on releasing to the world real soon. I'm tryna get my 'N in Paris' swag up," Chainz told MTV. "For the most part, when we started building our relationship, we found out we had more things in common than different from a musical standpoint... So I think it'll be interesting when you just drop that in the pot, in the blender, and see the outcome and results of some of that."

The former DTP rapper also spoke on his much anticipated solo debut, which is tentatively titled T.R.U. 2. Chainz is also considering dropping another mixtape prior to the release of his album, and informed Sway Calloway that he'd make another appearance on the couch before his studio album hits the streets. As a rite of passage, the ATLien also kicked a few bars for the people. Continue on to see what exactly Def Jam's newest signee had to say.

Last night (January 30), Atlanta rapper 2 Chainz headlined his first New York City show at S.O.B.'s, but it's his record label status that has everybody talking. Once affiliated with Disturbing Tha Peace, 2 Chainz confirmed to XXL that he's no longer rocking with Ludacris' imprint, but will still be his label mate since signing a solo deal with Island Def Jam. "It's the Real University, Two Gun Gang, Street Executives. It's not DTP no more," he said at the show.

Despite the split from DTP, he's still in Luda's corner. "I'm actually behind [Ludacris], he's still my homie. I just took another route as far as running my own company and bossing up. But on the other hand, I'm still working with him. He has an album coming out this year, as well. Matter of fact, we are label mates, now, which is crazy. So, yeah, that'll be cool. I'm looking forward to that."

Tity 2 Chainz also explained his ode to Too Short on the track "F*ck Em" off Rick Ross' Rich Forever mixtape, in which he likens the Bay Area legend to a father figure "A lot of people ask where the line came from," he said. "Too Short end up calling me probably two weeks after it dropped. I been a fan of Too Short ever since I could remember. I actually remember paying someone to go to the store and buy the CD for me because I wasn't old enough to purchase it. It just feels good for it to come all the way back around. It was a lyric that not only rhymed, but I just meant that. We came up, my whole generation and the generation up under me, we came up with artists as role models and father figures… It had a lot of truth to it."

The artists formerly known as "Tity Boi," is expected to officially drop details on inking a deal with Def Jam on MTV's RapFix tomorrow at 4 p.m. EST.

Arguably the hottest artist in the game right now, 2 Chainz tore down S.O.B.'s in New York City last night (Jan. 30th). Performing to a packed house, 2 Chainz entered the stage, at the introduction of Power 105's Breakfast Club, and proceeded to ignite the crowd from his presence alone.

At one point to begin his show, he merely mimicked himself on stage, not spitting one verse on the microphone, and just allowed the track to play. However, the crowd reacted to every word and movement, as if the rapper had just given you the hottest 16 bars of his life, it was actually amazing to see.

Once he started, you could tell he had genuine fans in the crowd. Every verse, complete with ad-libs, was guided by the jam-packed crowd. While the crowd remained "turnt-up" the entire show, the biggest records during his set were definitely when he performed "Riot," "Spend It," "Supa-Freak" and "Duffle Bag Boyz."

The first two of the aforementioned records are off his latest mixtape, TRU REALigion, while the strip club anthem "Supa-Freak" can be found on Jeezy's latest release, TM103. 2 Chainz' performance of "Duffle Bag Boyz," was the sign that his fans have been riding with him throughout his journey, as the record was followed as if it'd just been released.

To close out the show, 2 Chainz stated, "Because I'm a cool n*gga, if you wanna take some pictures, now would be a good time to do it," as he proceeded to do his best James Brown impression, and have a fur placed on his shoulders while a slow song played in the background, pure comedy! After the impromptu photoshoot, he thanked the fans, and most importantly he gave a shout out to Def Jam, who had their Chairman & CEO Barry Weiss in attendance.

Rumor has it, the ATL rapper will be taking his talents to Island Def Jam. Recently, The Source reported that 2 Chainz was on the verge of a deal with the label, but was unable to gain a confirmation. Hip-Hop Wired reached out to his reps and was unable to obtain comment. The former DTP soldier took to Skype to inform Sway Calloway during 'MTV RapFix' that the wait may soon end.

"I think I'm gonna come sit on the sofa Wednesday (February 1st). Me and you got a lot of things we got to talk about face-to-face," 2 Chainz told Sway. "It should be a good day Wednesday. I'm coming up to New York and have a few finalized meetings also," he added. "Might as well let the cat out of the bag."

It's sounding more and more like this is no longer just a "rumor." Stay Tuned.

The S.O.B.'s show also featured a performance by Texas' new young star Marcus Manchild. His set featured two popular Lone Star products, Slim Thug and Paul Wall, who performed their classic collab record "Still Tippin'." Aside from Manchild sharing the stage with his "two big brothers," he completely owned the stage. He performed as if the entire crowd was there to see him, which is something many new or aspiring artists don't do. If you came to the show unfamiliar with Manchild, you left a fan.
