Oddly enough children are the easiest targets and have become the victim of theft ever since the latest Beats models were released last Christmas. Suspects beat up, threaten, and in some cases use weapons, to get their hands on the earphones, “They're being snatched from teenagers aboard subways or as they walk to and from school. People's heads are buried in them. They don't even know what's going on,” added the source.

A video posted on WorldStarHipHop shows a Bronx man jacking someone by jumping onto the Subway tracks and using a broken glass to slash the neck of his victim. Meanwhile, last month, a “Bonnie-and-Clyde” team ran up on a 14-year-old boy near Columbia University stole the headphones and danced away wearing them.

The pricey earphones, which recently cut ties with their distributor, Monster, run between $300-$500 and are looked at as a “status symbol,” and rightfully so.  Pretty much everyone in Hip-Hop either owns pair, or hawking their own brand of headphones. The popularity has also trickled down to the sports world.  Just before the Super Bowl, New England Patriots star Chad Ochocinco bought $28,000 worth of the headphones as a gift to his teammates.

Dre, who is allegedly still working on the myth that has become Detox, has yet to comment on the matter.

Dr. Dre also handpicked Vik Weet to create the movie. Weet penned the script for another untitled thriller about an investitgation into the 1959 Dyatlov Pass incident, in which nine experienced hikers were found dead in Russia's Ural Mountains. Renny Harlin is directing that film.

"Our time in the studio was crazy,"Lamar enthusiastically stated. "Me and P knocked out about six records. I'm excited for the people to hear them."

It's safe to say that many people share K-Dot's enthusiasm, who also spoke on his work with Dr. Dre and the mythical Detox album. "When I first met Dre we did about ten records, all of them were dope but there were at least two that were really really solid. One of them [the records] we fell in love with and just have to go through the mixing process and get it right...and put it on there!"

The Compton MC also discussed being left off of 'MTV's Hottest MC's in the Game' list, his TDE Camp and losing songstress Alori Joh and how it's impacted him. See what K-Dot had to say in regards to these topics and more in the video below.

“The advice he gave me, it's already affected the way I've been in the studio for the last week," shared Ross. "So let's just say he's full of knowledge and he's a solid guy.”

During their discussion at the Grammy's, the MMG Boss mentioned Dre again, but in greater detail as to what they had been working on. After Sway asked if he was working with Dre on both God Forgives, I Don't as well as Detox, Ross replied "That's mandatory my brother...most definitely!"

We've all heard rappers say that Detox was on the way for years now. However, listening to Ross does provide a ray of hope that the project will be dropping soon. Rozay also discussed MTV's Hottest MC's List, which will be debuting on the 19th. DJ Khaled was standing next to Ross, and the DJ proclaimed that the MMG Boss should be the only rapper considered for the top of the MTV list. Ross followed with, "We've just been putting in a lot of work. I salute everybody that's even being acknowledged because getting in this game is always your dream, so me being here right now, I just appreciate the love."

February 19th isn't far away at all, so we'll have to wait and see who tops the list for 2012. Check the video.

This is where we mention that despite saying we don't care, we still are waiting on Detox.

Rather than ponder over just how impressive 2012's release roster will be (new music from T.I., Rick Ross, Jay-Z, etc.), we've decided to take a different approach. Instead of hyping what has the potential to be another great year for Hip-Hop, we're going to mull over whose music is teetering on the edge of, "Who cares anymore, anyway?" Thanks to reasons like artist ambivalence and record label shenanigans, and the fact that new music drops everyday, in most cases these 10 albums missed taking advantage of striking while their mics were hot. No shots.

After Just Blaze's sent out a questionable tweet,“Me and @kendricklamar single next week maybe? Maybe. I dunno.” many wondered what the legendary producer and Top Dawg MC were cooking up. In an interview with Allhiphop, the budding artist confirmed that the two had linked up.

"Me and Just Blaze been working on some s**t,” Kendrick says. “We have a possible on in the can.”

Lamar recalled his first encounter with Just Blaze, explaining that it didn't take long before the two merged in the studio.

“We was in a studio session one day and you know I introduced myself as a new artist man, humbling myself you know because Just [Blaze] is in the building. How you doing sir, I'm Kendrick Lamar and I'm out your way,” Finishes Kendrick. “The next studio session, you know he wanted to work so it was a honor, I jumped in.”

The Compton spitter also denied a rumored titled "Compton City," which reportedly the first single off of Dr. Dre's Detox.

Dr. Dre has been cranking out hits and molding careers for 27 years and at the opening of the Beats By Dre store in SoHo, he told The Fader that he would be taking a break.

“These are the next two artists I'm working on, Slim Da Mobster and Kendrick Lamar. I think that's when I'm gonna just wrap it up for a minute because I've been working on music for 27 years now and the longest I've ever been out of the studio in 27 years has been two weeks.”

Dre says he's shocked how well his headphone line is doing and now he wants to be second only to Apple and break into the microphone business.

"I'm never gonna stop music, it's like air to me," says The Doctor. But with no mention of Detox, where does that leave the mythical album?

A disgruntled 50 Cent revealed on Twitter early Wednesday morning that he will not release his next album, due to problems with Interscope Records.

The G-Unit HNIC had previously announced that his sixth album, Before I Self Destruct II, a follow up to his 2009 Before I Self Destruct LP, would be out this year.

In addition to canceling his next album, 50 Cent also threatened to leak a new Dr. Dre single.

Dr. Dre's last single "I Need a Doctor" featuring Eminem and Skylar Grey was released in February of this year and has sold over 2 million copies.

Dre's long-awaited Detox album was supposed to be released in 2011, but no news surrounding the album has been released since "I Need a Doctor."
