DJ Kay Slay ft Outlawz & Lil Cease - Bury The Hatchet

In the digital age that we live in, we see "Beef" addressed in completely different ways. Devices such as Twitter and YouTube allow for individuals to address a situation in the public eye. Once upon a time, things didn't exist that way, which is what this particular video represents.

A 15 year old feed has officially been put to rest as the Outlawz and Lil Cease, the comrades of slain MC's 2Pac and The Notorious B.I.G., respectively, come together to "Bury The Hatchet." We all know what this dispute resulted in (which is similar to what Young Jeezy recently spoke about). While the traditional "Diss Record" was an element that we all loved about Hip-Hop, it's situations like the one between Pac & BIG, that make you wonder if it's still necessary.

"Bury The Hatchet" will appear on Kay Slay's Rhyme or Die, coming soon.

Harlem based rapper Juelz Santana has slowly been on the come up and making himself more visible in Hip Hop as he begins his climb back into the limelight.

Releasing “Back To The Crib” featuring Chris Brown, “Mixin Up The Medicine” with Yelawolf and the recent track “Home Run” featuring Lil Wayne have all been steps to take as the rapper is gearing up for the release of his mixtape The Reagan Era, which is set to drop now on Valentine's Day.

Although originally scheduled to drop back on New Year's Day, let's hope that this new release date will stick better and actually find the tape dropping as planned.

While talking with DJ Kay Slay during Best of Both Offices, Santana spoke on his particular hustle and finding the way to build momentum by his own means.

“Like sometimes, the label thinks the artists gotta do everything so you know like I say, I come from that groundwork, doing the mixtapes, getting our exposure and the Internet wasn't even half as big as it is today to where I can do the free promotion, videos.

“So now it's even funnier for me to lay the groundwork because you'll be in the studio, freestyles, shoot videos, put em out and the whole world sees them the next day so I'm in six gears, I tell n*ggas. I'm only in second -- I'm just gearing up to get people used to seeing Juelz Santana just in case they forgot.”

The recent release of “Home Run”, which also has a visual waiting to be dropped, marked the second stage of what Juelz plans to bring as he continues his return.

“I just switched over to second, the release of the Wayne song and my mixtape will be out the 14th of February, Valentine's Day. I'm giving y'all that because I love y'all so much. All free. It's all about getting them to come back used to me, I got a plan."

Also, expect to see the leader of the Skull Gang teaming up with a member of G Unit as Lloyd Banks has stated that his first single off his upcoming third album will feature Santana. The track is reported to be titled “Beamer, Benz or Bentley”.

“The whole concept of this project was to give the true MCs out there a chance,”

Everyone and their mama wants to be a rapper or entertainer these days. Whether the talent is there and thriving, or not at all and people are lying to themselves, they are in need of a more effective outlet to at least get their foot in the door.

Producer Ty Fyffe, hailing from Queens, looks to create such a bridge with his upcoming project Ty Fyffe Presents Raw N Uncut where he will give up and comers, along with established artists, the opportunity to fight for their spot, creatively, and claim their position on his compilation album.

For those that are hesitant and throwing the challenge out as hot air, the co-sign was given by none other than the established Drama King DJ Kay Slay.

“It is not easy getting into this game now, so much politics involved but through Ty Fyffe Presents artists have the chance to get themselves out to a much larger audience, all the while rhyming & singing over production crafted by me.”

Looking to get the engine running quickly, the producer has linked up with Kay Slay and other recognized face in radio and other media outlets. The first single will premier on Street Sweepers radio show.

'This is a chance of a life-time and I am not into co-signing just anything' – DJ Kay Slay.

Fyffe has crafter soundtracks for the likes of 50 Cent, Drake, Busta Rhymes, Jay Z and many more just in case anyone wanted to check the resume.

Hip Hop has branched into an international level and artists have emerged outside of the United States, so it only makes sense to invite anyone willing to step up to the plate and swing.

“This competition is open to folks from all over the world, not just the US and it would be great to see the project attract artists from other continents.

But as we are aware, Hip-Hop's inception may have been on the streets of NYC but today it has no boundaries and I hope artists overseas see how being involved in this competition can put them in front of a totally different audience.”
