Throughout the history of Hip-Hop, there hasn't been a rapper arrested more times than DMX.

Over the years, Dark Man X has spent almost as much time in a jail cell as in a recording booth.

Drug possession, assault, driving without a license, impersonating a police officer. You name it and DMX has probably done it.

Just this week, he was booked for "speeding, reckless driving and the suspended license," although, he claims those reports were "exaggerated."

Despite DMX's recent problems, don't expect producer/rapper Swizz Beatz to turn his back on his former Ruff Ryders labelmate.

In a recent interview with Allhiphop.com, Swizz Beatz expressed his loyalty to DMX saying, "I'll always work with DMX; that's my brother no matter what."

"X was a winner already," Swizz continued. "Now it's just a matter of getting that title back.

"Bottom line is, he's a winner. It's just on when he wants to win again; it's all up to him."

DMX is due to be released from an Arizona State prison next week, after serving seven months in jail for violating the his probation.

A rep for troubled rapper DMX is denying reports that the New York emcee smuggled drugs into an Arizona correctional facility.

According to AllHipHop.com, reports that the rapper attempted to sneak drugs into prison are "exaggerated, and that most of the infractions took place months ago, one as far back as January."

“DMX never snuck anything into the prison,” a rep told AllHipHop.com.

“As far as him smoking in jail, there is an area where inmates are allowed to smoke. A guard felt that DMX was smoking outside of a designated lined area in the smoking court and started harassing him, which resulted in the charge.”

“DMX is looking forward to being released from prison and resuming his career."

“We are in the early process of helping ex-rebuild his career in staying on the right track this time.”

DMX is due to be released from prison next week.

Good luck on rebuilding that rap career, though.

He's going to need it.

DMX appeared in an Arizona courtroom today where he was denied bond.

As previously reported, the former Ruff Ryder is behind bars for probation violation after officers reported that he failed to submit to drug testing and was later found positive for cocaine and Oxycontin.

A judge ordered X to be held without bond till his upcoming December 16 court date.

Attorneys for X hope he will be released in time for Christmas.

DMX Was Set To Apologize To Jay-Z But Then He Got Arrested

Looks as if DMX has had a change of heart regarding the lyrical jab he threw at former Def Jam label mate Jay-Z.

According to XXL, X's manager, Nakia Walker, states that prior to going back to jail DMX planned to record a video apology to Jay-Z after video footage surfaced of X saying “f**k Jay-Z” during a freestyle.

Walker states that the video footage was taken out of context and X feels that it is necessary for fans to know that the diss was just a freestyle and not how he feels personally.

“Jay called Swizz and Swizz called us and we've been on the phone, back and forth over the last couple of days. He was just freestyling, he doesn't feel that way at all; not at all.”

X who was recently jailed again in Arizona, may be facing an additional 8 months behind bars.

As previously reported, DMX was locked up in Arizona's Mariciopa County November 18 for violating his probation.

“Earl sometimes has a hard time following the rules, that's all,” Walker continued in the interview.

“He didn't check in with his probation officer and pretty much [they] extended their hand and they violated him.”

In regards to his case, Walker states that X will remain in lock-up until his November 24 hearing, at which point he could be sentenced to an additional 8 months if convicted.

The rapper was arrested at 6:00 p.m. last night and charged with felony probation violation.

Authorities tell MyFoxPhoenix that he did not check in with his probation officer as scheduled.

X is on probation for aggravated assault and was previously incarcerated in March and turned himself in to authorities again in late July.

He made headlines last week for a recent show where he said, “F*ck Jay-Z.”

DMX just can't seem to stay away from the police.

According to published reports, the Ruff Ryder was pulled over minutes after being released from jail on Friday (August 13) after being stopped while driving a rented red Mercedes down Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles.

According to published reports, X was pulled over for speeding when police discovered that X did not have a valid driver's license.

Although X will have to appear in court in the near future, he was not arrested but instead received a citation and police ordered a licensed passenger to drive the celebrity home.

Some people just catch a break.

According to TMZ, although it is not sure which crime he will be serving time for, X's manager has said that he is ready to surrender in a courtroom and head back to a place DMX knows a little too well.

The crime X will be serving time for was committed four or five years ago and although this story is just developing, DMX's manager says that X is focused on taking care of past legal issues.
