Texas rapper Dorrough pays homage to Pimp C with a new video, "Leather & Wood," off of Dorrough's upcoming Silent Assassin, Gangsta Grillz mixtape, hosted by DJ Drama.

Titled Get Big, the album will serve as the follow up to Dorrough's debut album, Dorrough Music which featured his hit single “Ice Cream Paint Job.”

Get Big features collaborations with Ray J, Jim Jones, Slim Thug, Yo Gotti, Prime Time Click, Tomeka Pearl and Juvenile.

Speaking on his upcoming album Dorrough released a statement saying,

"When my last album dropped, I shocked many people by convincing them that I would be a career artist. I immediately started working on this album right after my last one with the one goal of making it even better. I spent a lot of time perfecting each song and unlike most artists, I give the consumer what they deserve. 15 Songs plus 3 Bonus Tracks just to give the listener a FULL album to enjoy!!”

According to TMZ, Koopa lost the 7,583 sq. foot home -- which he picked up for roughly $2 million back in 2006 -- after failing to make several payments.

Chamillioanire spoke on the loss stating that he "decided to let that house go" because the real estate market had turned and the house had become a bad investment.

Chamillionaire also noted that he was never at the home because, "I was always on the road touring." He added, "I just didn't feel like it was a good business investment to pay that much mortgage for a house I was never at."

But Chamillionaire  made it clear that he is far from being homeless and stated, "I still got all the cars."

He also recently purchased a new home as he let his fans know via Twitter.

Now that he's reconciled with former group mate turned rival, Paul Wall, he's preparing to add on to his already extensive discography.

Keeping in line with those plans he's announced the official release date for his third album, Venom as June 22 through Chamillitary/Universal Republic.

Before the release of Venom, “The Mixtape Messiah” will rejoin forces with Paul Wall for a tour kicked off by a performance at Austin, Texas's annual South By Southwest festival.

Joining the two on stage will be fellow Texas legends Trae Tha Truth, Chalie Boy, Dorrough and a host of other Texas performers.

Following that the duo will continue on their “In Love With Money Tour”, their first time on the road together in over seven years.

“In Love With Money” will take them from L.A. to Oregon before wrapping up April 18 in Ohio.

In the midst of the madness and throngs of sports fans, Chamillionaire will not only participate in the events, he will shoot a video for his latest track “Main Event.”

His current lead single, “Main Event” features some of Texas' biggest all-stars including Paul Wall, Slim Thugg and Dorrough.

The Texas quad will be shot “guerilla style” by director Dr. Teeth giving fans an inside look into the numerous red carpet and A-List events they'll attend.

For the finale of the video, they'll meet up at an undisclosed location for a performance featuring all four of them onstage.

Speaking on the video for “Main Event” Chamillionaire says that he couldn't have asked for a better time to shoot with his Allstar cast.

“Every artist on the song with me has independent hustle and strength in the streets. It's
an All Star song so what better place to shoot the video than All-Star
Weekend, right here in our own backyard.”

“Heart Of a Champion” will include production from Travis Barker, who, along with Paul and Skinhead Rob, form the group Expensive Taste, who will also have several songs on the album.  Features are expected to include Jim Jones, Big Gipp and fellow Houstonites Chamillionaire, Slim Thug and Devin the Dude.

The first street single from the album is “I'm On Patron” and is produced by Beanz n Kornbread.  Paul also has the collaborative effort with Devin The Dude, “Smoke Weed Everyday,” rocking the streets.

As previously reported, Paul and his former partner Chamillionaire are also hitting the road for some reunion dates.   The two kick off with a headlining appearance at Austin 's SXSW festival for a Best of Texas show at La Zona Rosa on March 17th. The SXSW show also features performances by Dorrough, Trae Tha Truth, Fat Pimp, Chalie Boy and many more.

Other stops along the tour include Los Angeles, Las Vegas , Phoenix , Dallas , Houston , Denver and Albuquerque with more cities to be announced soon.  No word yet on an official album but Hip-Hop Wired will keep you posted.

Many, however, may be unaware that there was another hand in the smash hit which was reportedly created by Superstar and featured Texas rapper Dorrough before being reworked by Chris.

There have been countless interviews of Chris talking about how he created the song, but he allegedly didn't even come up with it, he just bought it.

Since the success of the track, which was able to bring Chris back into the limelight, Dorrough has felt as though not enough credit was given to him for his participation in the song while it was building up in the underground.

Apparently, Chris has no clue as to who Dorrough even is and describes the rapper as spitting that ‘Boo Boo' rap.

Well, last time anybody checked, Dorrough's “Boo Boo Rap” spawned smash hits in the form of “Walk That Walk” and “Ice Cream Paint Job”, but hey what does that even mean these days?

And everybody was sitting here waiting to see when the Pee Wee league was going to kick in and get the beef started.

His new 18 track mixtape Major Pain was released today and details the “Mixtape Messiah's” brief intermission before the release of his recently pushed back album, Venom.

According to Chamillionaire the politics of his major label deal have affected his music and stop him from releasing as much material as he'd like.

He describes the situation to fans in a statement saying,

“I felt it was time to take it back to the original grind that made these major companies pay attention in the first place….but because I am signed to a major recording label, there are still a lot of things that I would like to be able to dothat I'm not really allowed to do.

Politics in this business often stand between a creative mind and the grind but I'm gonna try my best to feed my fans without getting into too much trouble."

Along with the release of Major Pain, Chamillionaire is preparing to go on tour with fellow Texas Hip-Hop representative Paul Wall.

Cham and Paul will be joined by Trae Tha Truth, Dorrough and Chalie Boy March 17th in Austin, Texas for the South By Southwest concert in Austin on March 17th.

They'll then hit the road for stops in L.A., Las Vegas and Phoenix.
