Drake Kicks Off Club Paradise Tour At Penn State [Video]

Drake kicked off his Club Paradise tour last night, ironically taking the stage on the campus of Penn State amidst the school's child sex abuse allegations.

As previously reported Drizzy is hitting six college campuses with Kendrick Lamar and A$AP Rocky.

On the first stop of the tour the rapper wore a Penn State hoodie and encouraged students saying,

"Be proud you go to this motherf*king school. You're perfect."

Drake Pushes Back "Take Care" Album Release Date & Tour

In a year that seems every anticipated Hip-Hip album has been pushed back, Drake joins the the rest, as has delayed the release of his sophomore album Take Care from October 24 to November 15.

Posting the reason on his OVO blog, Drake explained the reason for the pushback, saying that he is having difficulty clearing three samples in time.

“My options were to take the songs off and make the birthday release happen, or to take an extra couple weeks to get the paper work right and give you the album they way I NEED you to hear it."

Drake has also moved his “Club Paradise” tour to next yea, stating that dates will be announced in the coming week.

The new date for Take Care is November 15th, 2011. I managed to create this album in my hometown of Toronto and the thoughts and stories I wanted to get across just became so clear. It truly felt like when I was here 3 years ago making So Far Gone. So I have completed 19 songs (17 on physical and 2 on bonus), and have run into a roadblock of clearing 3 samples in time to make the October 24th date.

My options were to take the songs off and make the birthday release happen, or to take an extra couple weeks to get the paper work right and give you the album they way I NEED you to hear it. The choice was clear as day for me. November 15th you will get Take Care the exact way I created it with no trimmings. This music means too much to me to get attached to dates and I do apologize for the delay but I promise that it is only for the benefit of our experience together. Club Paradise Tour will also be moved to when students are back from the Christmas/New Year break so that I can get to more schools. New dates will be released in the next week…see you all soon.

Drake Announces Club Paradise Tour

Drake is teaming up with some of rap's biggest newcomers for a tour.

The October's Very Own singer has announced his Club Paradise tour comprised of six tour dates featuring himself, ASAP Rocky and Kendrick Lamar.

The tour will kick off November 9 in Columbus, Ohio.

Drake Talks Collaboration With Justin Timberlake

It looks like Drake doesn't plan on taking a break anytime soon.

In an interview with FUSE TV, Drake states that a collaboration with pop sensation Justin Timberlake is in the works.

“One thing that's in the works, this is exclusive, this is a moment... One thing that I haven't mentioned to anybody yet, but will, right now...

I‘ve always wanted to work with him and it's in the works right now. Me and Justin Timberlake will probably have a song soon. I'm really excited about that, cause I've wanted to work with Justin for a long time. And we've recently talked about it and I think we're going to make it happen.”

In addition to in studio collaborations, Drake is gearing up to embark on his European Tour.

As previously reported, Drake is heading across seas in January, and he is bringing J.Cole with him to spread the European love.

Drake is heading across seas in January, and he is bringing J.Cole with him to spread the European love.

Drake is coming to the UK in January to perform for the first time since the release of his debut album Thank Me Later and he'll be bringing a full live band.

Joining him on the tour will be Roc Nation artist J. Cole who is one of the hottest upcoming rappers in the industry.

Drake has put a pause on his R&B mixtape, and Cole's new mixtape Friday Night Lights comes out November 12.

Wiz Khalifa Declines Tour With Drake

Rapper Wiz Khalifa has respectfully turned down an offer from Drake to join him on tour.

As previously reported, the Canadian emcee made mention of having the Pittsburgh rapper added to his tour during a live Ustream with fans.

The Taylor Gang head obviously caught word of the bid to join Drizzy's “Light Dreams And Nightmares” tour and spoke on it in an interview with XXL.

Khalifa, who recently inked a deal with Atlantic, says although he wouldn't mind “smoking one with him”, he can't join him on tour because he's embarking on his tour “The Waken Baken” tour at the same time.

“Just the fact of cuz even extending his hand and me being on his radar is tight, to me…It just lets me know that I'm doin' what I need to be doin' as far as stayin' relevant and stayin' poppin'. But I think to keep me poppin' and keep me relevant I gotta stay buildin' on top of what I'm doin' and what I been doin'. No disrespect to cuz or anybody else who might wanna see me do some more collaborative things, but to keep buildin' and keep my brand as strong as what it is, I gotta keep focusin' on what it is. This is my first tour that I got comin' up, the Waken Baken tour, I gotta at least kick that off and make that it what it is so we can do ten more…I really want to meet him and chop it up with him…I wanna meet him, chop it up, smoke one with him and who knows what could happen. But it's all positive right now.”

He also adds that he heard about Drizzy's #11 spot on Forbes's list of top Hip-Hop earners. Khalifa says that once he makes the estimated $10 million that Drizzy reportedly made, then he might be worthy of hitting the road with the Young Money all star.

“I'm real happy for Drake and real proud of Drake...I was lookin' on the Internet and that made $10 million this year. So maybe when I make $10 Million then we can tour. We can do like some special dates or some surprise guest type thing, but I need 10 mil', too, Drake.”

Drake Cancels European Tour With Family Emergency

Drizzy, who has recently been on fire with the release of his new album a big night at the B.E.T. awards, has canceled his European tour.

With his mother about to go into surgery, Drake has decided it would be better to stay in the states and support her.

Drake issued a statement explaining why he made the decision to skip the overseas dates in order to support his mother.

"Despite my best hopes, it is apparent that my mother will need surgery earlier than anticipated," the statement read. "In light of this news, I have made the difficult decision to cancel my European tour in order to support her during her recovery, just as she supported me through the years.

I cannot thank my European fans enough and look forward to performing abroad soon. I ask everyone to please respect my family's privacy during this time."

During his recent MTV documentary special, Drake admitted that his mother was ill and was battling a sickness, however, he did not reveal what she was suffering from and has only asked for us to keep her in our prayers via twitter.

"Back at my moms house ... please include her in your prayers tonight as tmrw she faces a true challenge."

We wish Drake's mother a speedy recovery and hope all is well.

Drake Goes Green To Protest Gulf Oil Spill [Video]

In between being called out by Lil Kim in her ongoing drama with Nicki Minaj and prepping for the release of Thank Me Later, Drake is taking a stance to protest the gulf oil spill.

As previously reported Drake was already on his Campus Consciousness tour complete with an eco-friendly tour bus to protect the environment.

Now in light of the millions of gallons of oil that are spilling into the Gulf of Mexico, Drizzy is teaming up with the Hip-Hop Caucus' Green The Block campaign to raise awareness on the dangers of off-shore drilling.

Drizzy will perform Sunday at the 9:30 club in Washington, D.C. at the “Stop The Offshore Drilling” rally.

The rally is planned to educate fans on the environmental damage that has occurred because of the massive spill and to encourage them to do their part by “going green.”

Drake has released a video speaking on protecting the environment.

Drake Announces New Tour Dates, OVO Festival

Before Drake releases his debut album, he's extending his top selling “Away From Home” tour.

As previously reported the tour kicked off with college performances at 23 campuses across the country.

Now Drake's first solo tour for 2010 will now include additional dates in the U.S., Europe and Canada including June 6^th at Hot 97's Summer Jam and July 4^th at London's Wireless Festival.

Drizzy will also open for Jay-Z at the UK's MEN arena on June 7^th and Birmingham's LG Arena on June 9^th.

The tour will ultimately wrap up with Drake's own festival, the OVO Festival, whose lineup and location will be confirmed in the coming weeks on Drake's blog, October's Very Own.
