After reports that he's expected to sell between 675-725,000 copies of his Take Care album, Drake was spotted partying in New York.

Young Angel took to NY's Beauty & Essex where he was joined by French Montana, his producer Noah "40" Shebib and actor Ryan Phillipe.

Drizzy looked dapper in all black and posed for pictures with his celebrity friends.

Drake Loses Big At The Juno Awards

Canada's annual Juno awards took place Sunday March 27 and were hosted by Young Money emcee Drake.

As previously reported Drake was announced as this year's host and previously won two Junos in 2010 for “Best New Artist” and “Best Rap Recording Of The Year.”

This year however Drake went home empty handed despite being nominated for 6 awards, more than any other artist.

While maintain his hosting duties at Toronto's Air Canada Centre, Drake lost all 6 awards including “Rap Recording Of The Year” to Canadian emcee Shad for his album TSOL.

Other winners included Justin Bieber, K'Naan and Arcade Fire.

Monday his friend and fan site designer Karla Moy a.k.a. Hustle Grl tweeted,

“Hey Junos, good job at using Drake for ratings.”

Drake has yet to speak on the Junos.

The Juno Awards which highlight musicians will take place Sunday, March 27^th at the Air Canada Centre.

In addition to hosting the awards, Drizzy also leads the pack in nominations with five including album of the year, rap recording of the year, artist of the year, songwriter of the year, single of the year, and the Juno fan choice award.

Falling behind Drake in nominations is teen pop sensation Justin Beiber who is up for four awards.

The emcee was a guest on Canada's Much Music network where he spoke on a conversation he had about piecing together a reggae project.

He tells Rap City's T-RexXx,

“I wanna do something for Jamaica, because we are supposed to go out there and record after the European tour…I was like send me some rhythms that are poppin and I'll see what I can do. He sent me some rhythms that are poppin, so I'll see what I can do. You never know."

Drake previously made headlines for mentioning that his raps were sometimes influenced by cartoon character Winnie The Pooh.

Drizzy was performing at San Francisco's Wild 94.9 ‘Wild Jam' when he decided to bless someone in the audience with a diamond encrusted G-Shock watch.

“This young lady right here had this nice sign saying, Will You Marry Me,” said Drake. “I can't marry you but I got a Christmas gift for you okay?...That's for you, an official iced out watch.”

The fan later twitpic'd a picture of her new gift to the Wild Jam twitter page.

As previously reported Drizzy's been the topic of discussion for canceling a slew of European dates to help his mother recover from surgery and was sued by Playboy over his #1 single.

Moving on from his transgressions, Drizzy's speaking on one of the rappers that have  inspired him to step his game up.

In an interview with Funkmaster Flex for MTV,  Drizzy says that Yeezy has been inspiration for his future project and credits him for “scaring” him into working harder.

When asked by the DJ what projects he's looking forward to he responds,

“Very much looking forward to the Kanye's album because I need to be scared and inspired for my second project."

Moving on from Good A** Job which many feared would leak in its entirety Thursday, the two Hip-Hop heads discussed Yeezy's single “Power.”

Reflecting on the track and deeming Kanye a “genius”, Drake says he's especially excited because he's had a chance to hear other tracks from the project as well.

“That had to happen it was bound to happen. Kanye's a genius. I'm excited for the rest of that album because I've heard some things people haven't heard.”

“If I would've put out an album that was poor quality then I think the leaks would hurt me…”

After Drake's debut album Thank Me Later leaked in its entirety to the internet Wednesday, many wondered how Young Money's golden boy was feeling.
He addressed it on his Twitter page early Wednesday saying,

“I gave away free music for years, so we're good over here … just allow it to be the soundtrack to your summer and ENJOY! JUNE 15th!”

Now he's taken things a step further and in an interview with The Life Files he says that he thinks the quality of the music will help the album to sell despite the leak.

He tells The Life Files,

“If I would've put out an album that was poor quality then I think the leaks would hurt me…I think it can only help. Word of mouth can help spread it around.”

As previously reported the tour kicked off with college performances at 23 campuses across the country.

Now Drake's first solo tour for 2010 will now include additional dates in the U.S., Europe and Canada including June 6^th at Hot 97's Summer Jam and July 4^th at London's Wireless Festival.

Drizzy will also open for Jay-Z at the UK's MEN arena on June 7^th and Birmingham's LG Arena on June 9^th.

The tour will ultimately wrap up with Drake's own festival, the OVO Festival, whose lineup and location will be confirmed in the coming weeks on Drake's blog, October's Very Own.

“I personally feel like we could have done something amazing.”

Disappointment is a feeling that many are forced to face, but persistence can always be the key to success.

After essentially being shut down on her request to Sade for a collaboration for his debut album Thank Me Later, Drake is still fighting to get the songstress for the future.

Although slightly deterred, the Canadian rapper stated that he might have been a little overzealous when he made the statement, but also believes that Sade isn't fully aware of his potential and will see it once he drops.

During an interview with MTV, the Young Money member talked more on his aspirations for that mash up.

“I don't think she really knows who I am, really, my genre of music. I put it out there. It was more of a hopeful thing. It was a very early stage where I was at when I said that I was hoping. One day. Maybe after this album comes out.”

By him making bold statements such as that, to Sade even, Drake is only serving to set himself up for even greater expectations once the project finally drops.

“It has been brought to my attention that false promoters and booking agents are illegally using my name and likeness to promote concerts and club appearances for their own financial gain….”

As arguably the artist with the biggest buzz in recent years, Drake, is seeing himself fall victim to a common thread in the music industry; misrepresentation.

Drake is speaking out to his fans about several shows and events he's been confirmed to attend without his knowledge or consent.

According to Drizzy, a stream of promoters and booking agents have been illegally using his name and image for monetary purposes.

Obviously upset about disappointing fans, Drake has released a statement issuing an apology to all who have fallen victim to the scams.

He speaks on the unfortunate situations saying,

“It is frustrating for me to hear that many of my fans, who like myself are innocent victims in these scams, have been misled due to the greed of these promoters. I apologize to any fan that has been a victim of these circumstances or feels let down by false advertising. “

Furthermore Drake says he and his management team, Bryant Management and Hip Hop Since 1978, are investigating the matter with authorities and he thanks his fans for continuing to stick by him.

“Please be assured that my team and I take these matters seriously and are actively cooperating with authorities. I cannot thank my fans enough for supporting my music and all that I do.”
