Legendary nasty group 2 Live Crew has decided to embark on their first Australian concert for the remaining holiday season.

Starting December 26th at the Belvoir Amphitheatre in Perth, the 2 Live Crew members Marquis and Fresh Kid Ice plan to kick off the “Hot n' Nasty” tour to perform some of the classics from the group.

“We are ready for Australia,” Fresh Kid Ice said in a statement. “We hope they're ready for us! We'll be playing the old hits and the new songs, and since it's a 2 Live Crew show, anything can happen.”

When it comes to their first tour in Australia, the crew states they are ready to put on the best show.

“We're looking forward to it,” says Brother Marquis. “We're doing it old school, playing all the hits, some new stuff, and it's all full of energy. With 2 Live Crew its start fast, then a fast song and more fast songs. We line 'em up back to back.”

Although it's been 20 years since 2 Live Crew were acquitted of violating obscenity laws during a concert in Broward County, Florida, the album, As Nasty As They Wanna Be, is still remembered for the content that got them there and the history when the ruling was overturned and the Supreme Court refused to hear an appeal.

“It's a good thing to be recognized for that and for opening the doors for other artists,” says Fresh Kid Ice, “but our thing is to continue making music and be as relevant now as we were then. We see a lot of young groups making music a career, like it has been for us, so anything we did that helped make it happen is a positive thing.”

Check out the tour dates below to see if 2 Live Crew is coming through your area:

A study conducted by the Archives of Dermatology making use of key figures and data from the Florida Cancer Data System has rendered what can only be described as an interesting find.

Even though Black and Latino people are significantly less likely to develop melanoma and other forms of skin related cancer, when they do contract the illness, it is often much worse than when contracted by those that do not have as much melanin.

Cases taken from the state of Florida, one of the sunniest states and home to significant Black and Latino populations, showed that 1,148 Hispanic and 254 Black cases respectively were among the 41,072 medical situations involving melanoma.

“The simple message is that even though Blacks and Hispanics are at lower risk, they can still get melanoma,” explained vice chairman of dermatology at the Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center located at the University of Miami, Dr. Robert Kirsner, to media. “There seems to be a lack of awareness, so they're diagnosed at a later stage.”

41,072 cases of melanoma were entered in Florida's statewide cancer registry between 1990 and 2004, of which, the majority (39,670) was comprised on non-Hispanic white patients.

A Florida man was fired after alerting internal investigators to an interesting tidbit about his life outside of work.

Wayne Kerschner, a detention officer within the Alachua County Department of Corrections, was released from his job as a detention officer with the county after he defended the ideals of the Ku Klux Klan while noting that the hate-infused group is nothing more than a faith-based organization.

An internal report revealed that Kerschner paid annual group dues to the Southern and United Northern Knights of the Ku Klux Klan, frequently blogged on KKK websites, and attended a rally in Tennessee, all done while he was employed with Alachua County.

A rule within the department banning the employment of men and women that are members of subversive or terrorist organizations made way for Kerschner, an officer with the Klan, to be let go.

He worked as a guard for four years.

Now, in no way do I condone the any action taken by the Klan or the present but I have to wonder whether the firing was a bit “overreaching.” Granted, the Ku Klux Klan has been a home-grown terrorist organization since its creation, but who exactly deems one organization a threat? Better question, if the affiliation of one person with an organization that is known to cause issues within the community bad, does that not open the door for more professional persecution based on private affairs?

How long before a member of the Nation of Islam find themselves in the unemployment line for being apart of a faith-based organization?

The New Black Panther Party??

Teabaggers and Birthers???

PETA????

All of the aforementioned are organizations that, though clearly lacking the sheer history of violence and intolerance often attributed the infamous White Knights, have operated outside of legal parameters in order to have their respective voices heard and goals met.

Remember, what is seen as a positive entity to some can be viewed as a terrorist organization to others. Personally, I feel that if the man did his job well and showed no sign of favoritism or unjustifiable disdain for the people that he was assigned to watch then he should still have a job today.

But what do I know. . .I'm merely a fan of small government. . .

What do you think Hip-Hop Heads?

A woman is taking her former boss to court for being an unwilling participant in his business peep show.

Lisa Vanella, formerly of World Wide Child Care and Children of America Incorporated, is suing former Karate champion Thadeus Pryor, alleging that her boss made a habit of exposing his genitals to her while twisting them into shapes that resembled farm animals and several mammals.

Pryor purportedly called the mistreated woman a “Pig Whore,” telling her to “look at his dick” because she “turned him on,” on a regular basis.

Official business records say that Vanella was fired after management accused her of stealing a computer, something that the former account manager has adamantly discredited.

Vanella has listed 103 examples of sexual misconduct against Pryor and is seeking unspecified damages for civil assault, emotional distress, defamation, and negligence.

President and CEO of Child Care of America child-care chain, Pryor is a former multi-time Karate Champion. He is also purportedly the owner of very pliable genitalia, being able to fashion a goat, flying bat, and human brain using nothing but his penis and scrotum.

What a class act. . .

“I'm just disappointed in the way he let the success get to him.”

Before T-Pain catapulted his solo career to where it's at now, the rapper/singer was part of a group known as the Nappy Heads.

While in Tallahassee, Florida, the group was able to gain success in the early 2000s and was widely known in the South.

As is with most situations as a group, they decided to disband and pursue solo careers in order to bring more exposure nationally, which would benefit the whole when they were able to come back together.

“None of the members [were meant to be seen] as THE star of the group, they were all stars of a group. They were participants of a group.”

Like Nelly did with the St. Lunatics, 50 Cent with G-Unit and Eminem with D12, the major success of one artist was meant to act like an outlet to bring the team along and finish where they started.

“It was a big family, all of us grew up together.”

According to an upcoming documentary titled The Untold Story: Nappy Heads, T-Pain hasn't come through with his part of the bargain. After signing with Akon and Konvict Muzik, Pain has gone on to release three albums, with the fourth album, Revolver, on the way, but there has been no word of bring back the old crew.

Members of the group stated that they noticed shady business going on with Pain as he started to pursue his own career and continued to lose focus on the group.

“We come in the studio to do work as a group, but he didn't wanna do nothing. The next day we come back in the studio, he got 2 and 3 songs by himself.”

A source added that Pain used them when he came back home because he was aware of the fact that he wouldn't get the reaction he wanted unless he had them alongside him at particular venues.

“After almost 10 years of knowing each other just to say it's all about me now.”

Peep the trailer for The Untold Story: Nappy Headz below:

As if the Tea Party'ers did not have enough trouble being taken seriously, one of their future leaders was caught red, or better yet white, handed venturing on the wrong side of the law.

Ezell Harris, a Florida conservative and staunch Tea Party supporter, is facing serious legal ramifications for his involvement in a Florida drug ring.

Harris is being charged with four counts of dispensing illegal drugs without a license, trafficking in hydrocodone, unlawful use of a two-way radio, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Harris, who served as a military policeman in the U.S. Army for 3 years, is believed to have been a big player in the distribution of Lorcet and Vicodin, two brand names of hydrocodone.

The misguided political hopeful ran on a drug-regulation platform, noting that “prescriptions drugs have replaced cocaine and other illicit substances as the leading cause of deaths in Florida.”

Christmas almost came early for Daniel Saunders. The 46-year-old man was mistakenly released early from jail after having been arrested for breaking into a church and spreading his hepatitis C infected blood throughout the House of Christ.

Footage of three members of Seattle PD attempted to apprehend the nefarious fiend as he strolled from the evidence storage room; that is where things took a turn for the worse.

Video footage from surveillance cameras showed officer assaulting the mane for nearly two minutes in an effort to subdue him. Needless to say, he was adequately roughed up.

Andrew Magee, Saunders' attorney, is contemplating filing a civil-rights lawsuit against all officers whom were involved, the judge that released him, and the King County Prosecutors Office.

In other police news, officers in Lake Wales, Florida are being investigated for a traffic stop that nearly ended in a riot after dozens of Lake Wales residents rushed local authorities as they attempted to arrest three individuals.

The anger induced crowd took their red-blooded fervor to police headquarters, where a record number of citizen complaints about the behavior of those assigned to protect and serve were issued.

Evidence of the incident was captured via in-dash cameras mounted with patrol units and Taser-installed video captures devices.

The two suspects are still free. . .

Hillborough County, Florida is the sight of something as unusual as Lions gallivanting with sheep.

Inmates at an Orient Road Jail were caught on camera while saving a senior prison guard from a swiftly approaching death.

Deputy Kenneth Moon, 64, was working at his work station when a 24-year-old inmate attacked him. At the time, he was working alone in a pod that housed 62 of the area's most vile and villainous.

Jerry Dieguz Jr., Hoang Vu, and Terrell Carswell rushed to aid the senior guard, with Dieguez Jr. landing a vicious cross hook on Moon's assailant, Douglas Burden.

The three unlikely saviors are in jail for armed robbery/invasion, attempted murder, and robbery/marijuana possession/cocaine trafficking/ compounded with a failure to appear in court respectively.

“Their past acts aside, you know, you've got to applaud them for what they did,” remarked Colonel Jim Previtera of Hillsborough's Sheriff's Office.

The sheriff's office plans to send letters boasting of the inmates character to the state attorney's office, hoping that the state will take their heroic actions into account and provide leniency in regard of their current incarceration.

Moon is on leave, healing from the attack.

“I wish her situation on nobody in the universe or on my worst enemy because I believe that jail is hell on Earth.”

Things have changed in the Terror Squad camp quite dramatically since 2004 when they had everybody doing the lean back. The apparent change is that the majority of the soldiers have gone against their General, as Fat Joe has no fan fare as it pertains to his old team.

Since then, Crack packed his bags from New York and has found a new home alongside Florida natives and has equipped himself with DJ Khaled and Rick Ross.

Old members such as Tony Sunshine and Cuban Linx have expressed their distaste and accused him of not paying them what is owed.

A disheartening break-up came between Joey and the Squad's front lady Remy Ma as her current incarceration seemed to open up a moment of clarity as she had thrown shots at her former group member.

While on the Ear Candy radio program with Renada Romain, Joe opened up on his beginnings with Remy and how his intentions were just to give her the outlet she needed to shine and obtain the success that he saw in her.

“When you see someone in the projects and they ain't doing so good, but you feel that they're talented and you come and tell them ‘Yo, Imma put you on,' next thing you know they're driving Benz,' on number one songs, they owning houses in Jersey and all that.”

Once 2007 came around and Remy was convicted for the shooting, a different tune came around which clearly threw Fat Joe off of his feet and made him second guess his decision to align with her. At this point, he feels as though everyone has been blaming him for what he hasn't done instead of acknowledging what he has.

“It makes you not wanna help people anymore. When you attack me like that, she was like my sister at one time, I can't really rock with her.”

Regardless of what the relationship is now, Joe still continues to wish her the best above everything else.

Along with Remy, the widow of Big Pun has continued to voice her opinion on the rapper feeling that he has been robbing her family of their funds and has yet to provide them with what is left of Pun's legacy.

With so many enemies building up top, it makes sense why he moved all the way down to Florida.

Immigrants hoping to start life anew on America's opportunity-laden shores have always been targets to those that seek to destroy them as a mean to turn profits.
In one of the largest cases of fraud against minorities on record, three men have been accused of running a very lucrative ponzi scheme, using Haitian-American investors as dispensable pawns on their route to the top.

Ronnie Eugene Bass Jr., Brian Taglieri, and Abner Alabre were all reported to the Securities and Exchange Commission after promising clients that they would double their money every90 days though an investment club known as HomePals.

Nearly the majority of all that reported the scam resided in the New Jersey and South Florida areas.

“The extraordinary promises made by these three men spread byw ord of mouth throughout a close-knit community, remarked Glenn Gordon of the SEC's Miami regional office.

Bass, whom operated as the public face for the trio, invested no more that $1.2 million of the $14.3 million stolen, only suffering 20% in financial losses.

All three men are facing criminal charges for wire fraud, securities fraud, conspiracy to commit money laundering, and conspiracy to commit securities fraud. Each is facing a maximum of 20 years in prison if found guilty.

It is the mission of the SEC to The mission of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission is to protect investors, maintain fair, orderly, and efficient markets, and facilitate capital formation.
