Since the release of So Far Gone, rapper Drake has made major movements trekking his climb in the music industry.

Moving to Young Money records to being featured on countless records, the Canadian native may have had one of the most eventful 2009's, which was topped off with Grammy nominations.

Still waiting for the release of Thank Me Later, the rapper is set to give a glimpse of what he will deliver with his first single “Over” which is set to drop Friday.

Boi-1da, the man responsible for "Forever" and "Best I Ever Had", will be handling the production for the track.

With the original release date set for March, the first offering is now being expected to hit shelves sometime in the spring, although the exact date has yet to be determined.

"It's gonna be bigger, it's gonna sound happier," he said. "More victorious, 'cause that's where I'm at in my life," said Drake during an interview with Rap-Up.

Probably the most pressured of all the new generation of rappers, tomorrow will serve as the sink or swim moment for the rest of his debut album.

Hoping to sport features such as Andre 3000 and Eminem, and already scoring guest appearances from Jay-Z and Kanye West, the young sensation is putting his best foot forward and might be searching to make the first project a classic.

Already making the statement that he studies Nas' work before working on his own album, could we have an Illmatic of the new age?

“Me and Em talked about something today…we'll see.”

There is always more to come over the horizon and 2010 in Hip Hop music continues to look more promising.

Fresh off a performance with Eminem, rapper Drake has begun to talk about collaborating with the Detroit MC once again, but this time for his debut album, Thank Me Later.

With the news being fresh and still shaky, the result of “Forever” shows the potential with “Drop This World” making speculation more concrete.

If anything, Drake might have the opportunity to get over on Em after their first offering, but word to the wise, many have tried and fell very short of such task.

“Renegade”

“Drop This World”

Shady has built quite a body count in murdering people on their own track, so be weary.

Speaking with MTV, the Young Money artist also spoke on advice that Slim Shady gave the up and comer prior to their recent performance.

“Em gave me probably one of the best speeches … not really a speech, but … he gave me that reassurance,” Drake said on the red carpet.

“He was like, ‘Man, anytime you need to look over at me, don't get nervous. Just look over at me, man, and I'll give it back to you. Everything will be all right. Don't be nervous.' For him to say that to me — I feel like that was an important moment. It was nice.”

While the album has no actual release date, the rapper did state that the first single should be released in the next week or two as he finishes up his project. Fans will truly have to thank him sooner than later if he is able to snag Shady for the upcoming release.

“There are certain things you can't say, or sing, on television.”

Ever since the broadcast of the 52nd Annual Grammy Awards this weekend, the Internet has been pulsating in regards to the “unnecessary” censoring of lyrics for the night's closing performances from Eminem, Lil Wayne and Drake.

Check the drastically contrasting performance here.

Stating that the performance were barely able to be heard, there are some that are accusing the FCC and CBS of sabotaging the act, as well as trying to throw a monkey wrench in the only Hip Hop performance featured.

Stepping up to the plate, CBS representative Chris Ender has responded to such allegations being thrown their way.

"It was a rousing musical performance, but words were edited from the live telecast that didn't meet our broadcast standards," Ender explained, according to The Associated Press.

"We have great respect for artists' creative freedom, but there are certain things you can't say, or sing, on television."

According to Ender, the explicit material being showcased by the artists made it quite the task to broadcast it without a certain level of censorship. He added that each entertainer was allowed to perform freely, but were aware of the fact that they had to certain parameter which they had to abide by.

In response, however, there have been reports stated that the rappers actually made sure that their act was cleaned up and censored their lyrics themselves during the performance and replaced explicit language with a clean version or paused.

Eminem and Lil Wayne have been in the game for quite some time, so it only makes sense that they would be aware of this particular occasion and know what type of responsibility they would have to take before hitting the stage for a live audience.

But hey, maybe CBS wasn't being trigger happy with the censor button and maybe Jay Z just happened to have enough prestige to be the only rapper to actually give an aired acceptance speech. It's always a possibility, right?

I call bullsh*t.

Well, just in case anybody happened to forget, whether it was voluntarily or just through utter confusion, February 2 will be the day the world gets to see Lil Wayne's new album Rebirth officially drop. Showing his dominance on the music industry, this rap/rock hybrid establishes the fact that Wayne has some stretching room to get his experimentation on.

Going from the performance on the 52nd Annual Grammy Awards, fans can expect the smash “Drop The World” featuring Eminem on the upcoming release from Weezy.

Don't be fooled, however, by the montage you are about to see and expect to hear this Lil Wayne for the upcoming project. Let's just say things will be a little different this go around. It's Wayne's World.

“On Fire”

“Life is such a f-cking roller coaster then it drops/But what should I scream for this is my theme park/My minds shine even when my thoughts seem dark/Pistol on my side you don't wanna hear that thing talk.”

A person will never know how far they will fall until they actually let go.

Never in one's wildest dreams would anyone have ever thought they would see the day when Lil Wayne and Eminem actually collaborated on a track together.

So far with two tracks down, the two partnered up at the Grammy Awards last night to deliver the single from Lil Wayne's Rebirth, “Drop The World”, which drops tomorrow, and followed the performance up with “Forever” with Drake and drummer Travis Barker.

Unfortunately, Kanye West was unavailable for the performance and many have stated that the rapper missed the festivities due to the fact that he is busy at work prepping his next album.

Aside from all of the edits by the FCC, the boys were able to bring in correct to represent Hip Hop.

Lil Wayne's rap career has been synonymous with dealing with early leaks. With The Rebirth album being pushed back to 2010, the rapper has been prepping music videos to accompany the songs that have already been dropped to the public.

Weezy may have sprung one leak all too soon, however, as “Drop This World” recently hit the net featuring Detroit's own Eminem.

Since their collaboration on “Forever” Wayne stated it didn't really count and that he was still looking for the two to have an actual track which has culminated into this.

Weigh in on the track “Drop This World” and state if Wayne was able to compete with the re-energized Shady or if he was a victim like Jay-Z on “Renegage” that got murdered on his own sh*t.

“In the lane of “Forever”, but not really. It's that type of triumphant feel. I'm excited about it.”

After only playing the hook for “Off That” for The Blueprint III, some fans were definitely off the track from Jay-Z's album as they had expectations of an actual verse from rapper Drake.

As the rapper continues to finish up his debut album Thank Me Later, fans might have a second opportunity to actually hear the two rap back and forth for a track titled “Light Up”.

With the album being pushed back from its February release to March, Drake will have some more time to ensure that he makes that great first impression that everyone is anticipating from him since he created So Far Gone.

Catching up with Rap Up, the Young Money member spoke on his emotions towards the record and waiting on the green light from Jay.

“I actually did the record, with Jay-Z, last night in the studio. It's crazy. I'm really, really excited about it. I just did it, I hope he likes it.”

The rapper seemed to have a lot of pressure going through his mind as he tried to craft the right record that would suit both artists and create the greatest possible outcome.

“It's a special record. I woke up, cause at first I was like I don't know what type of hook I wanted to do and I really wanted to make a rap record.”

With past gems such as “Best I Ever Had” and “Successful” and recent works with Alicia Keys on “Un-Thinkable”, the young sensation clearly has a knack for great music. Unfortunately for Drake, he has set the bar even higher for himself so hopefully he can reach it.

Being deemed the hardest working rapper out right now, Lil Wayne was able to take some time out to relax as he celebrated his 27th birthday this weekend.

Somewhat following in the footsteps of Jay, his age has shown Wayne taking more chances and stepping outside the box. If Rebirth isn't an indication, his recent work with Madonna shows his passion for music and not just Hip-Hop.

The rapper-eater has already worked with his mentor in rap, Jay-Z, on many occasions, but he has also always spoken on wanting to work with Eminem. He even went as far as to challenge the Detroit MC to get on a track with him as if he was afraid to see what would happen.

That day finally came, somewhat, when the two jumped on Drake's “Forever” track with Kanye West. This isn't enough for Weezy though as he stated that the cut doesn't really count as the collaboration he has been looking for.

Speaking with DJ Drama on Hot 107.9 in Atlanta, the mixtape monster opened up on his dream collab potentially coming true.

“That don't officially count because I wanted a record with just me and Em. He got on the record for Lebron, not Lil Wayne. We still looking for that one right there.”

He also took time out to speak on the big homie, Jay, as he gave his reaction to the Brooklyn rapper's latest project The Blueprint III.

“I love Hov for that and I love everything that Hov do, as I always have. He's still my role model, my idol. Rappers need to understand that Hov is certifying for us to do it for a long time. That's what that means. When you see someone, and I'm not talking about age, on the level of his success he's at, he literally doesn't have to do any of this anymore…That man has multiple enterprises and he doesn't have to do it at all and he still does it to perfection. I think we all should respect him for that and I know I do. Hats off.”

With legal issues finally behind them, Drama and Wayne even spoke on continuing The Dedication series where Weezy simply stated he was waiting on the green light.

“You know Dedication 4 got to set up Carter 4.”

With the flood of mixtapes coming in, the reigning champ added that it might be time for him to release another, outside of The Dedication, for the fans. Knowing his work ethic, he stated that it could be out as soon as week. Be on the lookout.
