Earlier this morning in a not so sunny day in Philadelphia, Jay-Z held a press conference announcing his two day musical festival on Labor Day Weekend entitled Made In America. It started out all good at first, and even the biggest rap snobs were ecstatic to see former Roc-A-Fella artist and Philly native, Freeway, on stage with Jigga.

"Rick Ross" Wins Lawsuit To Keep Name Against "Freeway" Ricky Ross

William Henry Roberts can continue to go by the stage name "Rick Ross" thanks to the L.A. County Superior Court. Former drug kingpin, "Freeway" Ricky Ross, had sued the rapper for taking his name and allegedly imitating his life in his lyrics. The case—which was originally thrown out in 2010—has been reopened in California with a new trial date set for early May in Los Angeles, but today the judge threw out the case.

“I think he's a complete idiot,” said Freeway Ricky Ross in an earlier interview. “It's a disgrace for me to have someone like this with my name. He doesn't know what the name stands for, or how I got my name. He thinks that this name belongs to some big mafia guy who don't care about nothing but himself and really, he's just a pig.”

Freeway Talks New Album, Freedom of Speech, Roc-a-Fella & More [Video]

Freeway took a recent trip to Vegas and passed through the Bootleg Kev show to chop it up about a few things that he is working on. Philly Freezer spoke about two new projects he has on the way. Freedom of Speech is an upcoming mixtape sponsored by Karmaloop and Rocksmith clothing. The mixtape will precede Free's upcoming album Diamond in the Rough, which will feature an appearance from beatsmith Just Blaze.

After the interview portion, Freeway kicked a few bars over Big L's "Ebonics." Watch the full interview and freestyle session below. Freedom of Speech is coming soon.

A$AP Rocky Brings Out Young Chris & Freeway In Philly [Video]

The A$AP Mob Tour made a recent stop through the Theatre of Living Arts in Philadelphia, PA. As with most of the shows, the Mob had a surprise for the crowd with Philly's own Young Chris and Freeway hitting the stage with the Mob to perform "House Party" and "What We Do," respectively.

Although the Mob has wrapped a successful tour, the work won't stop. A$AP Rocky and ScHoolboy Q have been in talks of a joint project, which could be coming very soon. Check the video below.

Freeway - "Master Of Ceremony" [Video]

Philly Freezer is back with "Master of Ceremony," the first release off his new Freedom of Speech Project. Karmaloop Music & Rocksmith have partnered with Freeway for this upcoming 12-track release, which is coming soon.

Freeway Back In The Studio [Video]

Another State Prop MC graces the Trap Keeperz studios, as Freeway jumps back into the booth to knock out a few new joints. The general, Beanie Sigel, recently passed through the TK Studios to lay down a few new records as well. It's very possible that both could be working on new mixtape releases. Wishful thinking would be both artist dropping a joint project, but we'll settle for the solos for now.

Smoke and SpaceGhostPurp brought their Kushed & Purrp tour through NYC, and got help from both Freeway and the A$AP Mob. They had the crowd going insane with performances of "4 Loko," and "Don't Give A Damn."
