Mini Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj, Pose For Halloween [Photos]

Two Atlanta area children are making headlines for their unique costumes as Lil Wayne and Nicki Minaj.

Pictures of the kids have been circulating across the net showing a young boy dressed as Wayne during his VMAs performance complete with jeggings, a red hat and converse to match.

His sidekick Nicki was also spotted donning a colorful wig and bright makeup.

The too cute tots are actually the neice and nephew of famed Atlanta photographer Robert Ector ofTaylor Ector Studios.

Video vixen Rosa Acosta got into the Halloween spirit this week at Vevo's annual Halloween party.

The brainchild of Sony and Universal sponsored the party that was attended by a throng of celebrities and DJ'd by Good Charlotte singer Benji Madden.

Acosta was a standout at Thursday's celebration and rocked a Little Mermaid inspired costume, red wig and all.

Nicki Minaj Costume This Halloween's Most Popular

Unsurprisingly, there may be a ton of Nicki Minaj's running around this Halloween.

According to reports, the star rapper's Halloween costume is among the most searched costumes this year.

The NY Daily News reports:

The "Super Bass" rapper, who is known for her colorful wigs and wacky over-the-top outfits, is near the top of the list of most-searched Halloween costumes on Google. Only "Playboy Bunny," "Black Swan" and "Angry Birds" were searched more than the in-your-face rapper.

There aren't many actual Nicki Minaj costumes - but plenty of websites and online video tutorials on how to be the rapper have been popping up.

One Youtube tutorial giving tips on how to dress up as Nicki Minaj has over 300,000 views.

"It wouldn't be complete without the wig," the woman in the YouTube video said.

"What's the secret? Diapers," another Youtube poster said in a video.

"Just stuff 'em in there and use like five. You can make it as big or as small as you want. ... I think that's going to be my favorite part ... just having a big a** for Halloween."

Don't let these Nicki Minaj costumes fool you this Halloween fellas.

Blackface Halloween Costumes Strike Again

Two students at Northwestern University hopped on the bandwagon of the apparent latest trend in Halloween costumes, Blackface. One student dressed as Bob Marley smearing a thick black substance on his face, most likely shoe polish, and wore a shirt that said “Jamaica.”

The other student was even more outlandish, covering their entire body with the substance and donning a tennis racket, most likely in an effort to be Serena Williams.

Students at the University had mixed reactions about the issue but student Carlton Bozer denounced the incidents of overt racism to the Daily Northwestern saying,

“When I saw photos of the blackface kid, I laughed myself out of my chair. I could only think, 'Wow. How can someone intelligent enough to be admitted to Northwestern University, 'Harvard of the Midwest,' lack the tact to recognize such a racially inflammatory costume choice?”

My sentiments exactly Carlton. The stupidity of some people is incredible; how could they be so book smart yet so stupid in common sense?

For everyone that's oblivious to the racist ties Blackface has to the Black community, then read a book. Idiots.

Student Sent Home For Wearing Aunt Jemima Costume

A student at a Long Island high school was sent home Friday after showing up to school dressed like Aunt Jemima and toting around a syrup bottle asking, “You want some pancakes?”

Commack High School senior, 17-year-old Dean Jeziorkowski, donned a wig, bandanna, and makeup for the costume. School officials ordered the boy to wash off the makeup, and when he refused,he was sent home.

His classmate, 16-year-old Danny Cuevas, defended his friend saying,

“I don't think it's that racist. At one point in time, that might have been seen as racist but not now.”

Jeziorkowski's family has yet to comment.

Oh okay I get it now. It's not that racist…just a little bit. So that makes it okay, right?

Lil Wayne To Release 'No Ceilings' On Halloween

Despite an upcoming jail sentence, Lil Wayne is getting back to the money as promised. As previously reported Wayne pled guilty to a gun charge stemming from a 2007 arrest on his tour bus in New York and faces a maximum of 1 year in jail.

Until then however, he's keeping his word and releasing his No Ceilings mixtape on Halloween night. The release comes a day earlier than expected considering he released a Twitter message earlier in the month stating,

“THERE WILL BE NO FEATURES ON NO CEILINGS, NO AUTOTUNE AND IT'S DROPPING EARLY NOVEMBER.”

Now just days away from the mixtape hitting the net, DJ Scoob Doo of the Streets Talk DVD series has released an exclusive commercial of Weezy in the lab putting the finishing touches on the project. The footage also serves as a preview to the sequel of Wayne's ‘The Nino Brown Story' documentary.

Soulja Boy Dropping Treats For Halloween

As Gucci has been on the path to taking over the scene in the Southern scheme of Hip-Hop, rappers have been on the grind to hold onto their position.

With Lil Wayne dealing with a possible year behind bars, his grind may have gone into overdrive with the No Ceilings mixtape. His upcoming return to court may even be a reason to have Rebirth and Carter IV rushed to the forefront in regards to priority.

Almost following in the footsteps of Gucci, Soulja Boy has alerted fans through Twitter that he too will be releasing three mixtapes on Halloween. One tape will be hosted by DJ Woogie called Paranormal Activity. Features for the first disc include Drake, Kanye West, Sean Garrett and Gucci Mane.

Once helmed as the thorn in everyone's side or the cancer that was slowly making Hip-Hop decay, the young rapper's resilience has established him as a contender in the music industry.

Since flooding himself onto the scene in 2007, there is no doubt in consistency as young Way has been able to release an album each year and The DeAndre Way should make that statement valid if it can make it in before the close of 2009.

Outside of being a rapper, his second hustle as a producer has even been noticed by the likes of Kanye West who has taken him under his wing to collaborate with production.

Trouble recently followed Way when he was arrested for obstruction October 7 after fleeing the capture of an officer, but was released on $550 bond.

Along with the three mixtapes from Soulja Boy, other rappers have made sure to not miss out on an opportunity to drop. Reports have stated that Gucci and Shawty Lo will be teaming up to do a Halloween-themed miixtape and No Ceiling should be coming the same day as well.

Looks like there will be a lot more in store for Saturday aside from candy. Trick or treat.
