Also, A$AP explained the nuances of being a pretty motherf*cker. Rocky claims his parents named him after Rakim and he's flirting with the idea of naming his child Kanye when the time comes.

Heavily influenced by Houston's sound, Rocky admits he's never been there but he admires the city. "I'm quite sure Wu-Tang had never been to China before, but they were influenced [by Chinese culture] and you couldn't tell them that they weren't."

Rocky also builds on the fact that his crew all have the ASAP name in front of their own and he made sure he secured a record deal that would allow him to put out other artists on his RCA label.

The Boys & Girls Club of Harlem was in serious danger of closing down recently until Bad Boy records founder Sean Combs decided to make a donation.

Diddy grew up in the Harlem area so it's only right that he gives back to the community considering all he's taken from his artists. You didn't hear that from us.

“Mr. Combs' contribution comes at a time when we were faced with the possibility of eliminating existing programs and/or club sites. 100% of Mr. Combs' contribution will go directly to the young people, and provide educational, recreational and social enrichment programs allowing us to move forward as a club, uninterrupted," said Willie C. Bentley, Jr. Board Member and Resource Development Chair.

And we're sure this good deed didn't just happen so Mr. Combs can attain some positive press after the club incident with T.I.

This donation is right from the heart.

It looks like the rumors about Dipset signing to Interscope Records are real according to Juelz Santana's interview with Ozone Magazine.

"It's back to live action, it's back to doing what we do best," Santana explained. "We got the deal with Interscope. Shout-out to [Interscope Records CEO] Jimmy Iovine. I'm sure people seen the pictures up of us and [Dr.] Dre, so, you know, we've done records with Dre. That was a beautiful experience. Dre had Jim [Jones] in the booth for like an hour and a half..."

Jim Jones claimed that working with Dre was similar to rap school.

The pictures with Dipset and Dr. Dre that surfaced months ago caused speculation about their union with Dre being just for a feature on Detox or if it was something bigger.

Juelz also talks about the tour coming up for the crew which begins March 17th, the reason for the delay of his latest Def Jam album release and his new mixtapes that are on the way.

With no more G-Unit on Interscope, expect some major moves from the Harlem rap group.

Nas Feeds Families for the Holidays

Legendary emcee Nas brought in some holiday cheer for over 250 people in Harlem at this year's second Annual Dinner at Melba's benefit.

The charity, hosted by restaurateur Melba Wilson, took place on December 22 to spread love to families in the community affected by HIV/AIDS.

Nas, who is preparing for his second tour with reggae artist Damien Marley, seemed more than delighted to give back before heading to New Zealand in February.

Harlemite Cam'ron has some choice words for former partner in rhyme Ma$e-yes again.

According to published reports, Killa Cam is so upset about Ma$e not attending Harlem pal and Harlem World member Huddy 6's funeral, so much so that he not only took to Twitter but also created a diss record aimed at the former Bad Boy.

According to Cam, Ma$e missing Huddy's funeral was the last straw for their friendship. Via Twitter, he had this to say in response to a fan's question about Ma$e's attendance:

"h*ll no dat f**kin sucka a** n**ga ."

In case the message wasn't loud and clear, Cam had this to say in his Huddy 6 memorial track.

As previously reported, Cam'ron dropped a song for his fallen friend  “Huddy 6”, but no one knew why he decided to take shots as Ma$e until now.

" Where is Betha at, I'm like f--k Mase...When Hud's car crashed,damn I'm like not again. He invented words like 'curve' and 'poppington.' What up Tintin aka 6man, you know your family can lean on me like a kickstand."

With only 7 days left until the release of Jim Jones' newest mixtape, The Ghost of Rich Porter, the rapper is looking to his stomping grounds of Harlem for inspiration and to tell another story.

Similar to Harlem's American Gangster, Jones builds momentum from the drug world surging through Harlem and this time places focus on Harlem drug kingpin Rich Porter, who was portrayed in Paid In Full back in 2002.

Hip Hop fans be on the lookout on January 19, Jim Jones has a story to tell.

“The past few months I've been working on this mixtape/album.  I got like 40 to 50 songs and things like that.  I been breaking them down.  Got some good material, some good product that I'm about to put on the streets.  It's the soundtrack to the streets.  I'm just a reporter.”
