Teen Recovering From AIDS After Being Infected By Father To Avoid Child Support Payments

Brryan Jackson is living on borrowed time.

The 19-year-old from St Louis, Missouri's father, Brian Stewart, purposefully infected him with AIDS in murderous attempt to get out of child support payments, in 1992 when he was 11-months-old.

Four years later Brryan was given just five months to live.

The UK Daily Mail reports that Bryan's father, a blood transfusion specialist, was convicted of first-degree assault in 1998 and received a life sentence.

Unfortunately for Brryan he was reduced to a life of constant medication and worried anticipation.

“We live daily with the realization that he will die of this disease or the complications that are related to this,” says Mary, Brryan's mother.
Things have changed for the teen.

According to Stewart, his muscles are actually building instead of breaking down and scans have been unable to detect the virus in his blood for two straight years now.

“It's pretty remarkable. I went from full blown AIDS, on my death bed, given five months to live, and here I am 19 years old,” he tells The Mail. “My doctors are amazed.”

Doctors in Germany believe they've made a pivotal medical break-through and are announcing that they've cured a man of HIV/AIDS.

Timothy Ray Brown, also known as the "Berlin Patient," received a stem cell transplant in 2007 as part of a lengthy treatment course for leukemia.

Now the doctors who treated Brown have published a report in medical journal “The Blood” affirming that extensive follow-up testing "strongly suggest that cure of HIV infection has been achieved."

Brown is the first person to ever be declared cured of HIV, and is pushing science to further the sometimes-controversial study of stem cells.

Brown, who previously stayed out of the spotlight, will cover the next issue of Stern Magazine under the headline, "The Man Who Defeated The HIV."

Washington D.C. currently has the highest HIV rate in the country with 3 percent of individuals in the city testing positive for the virus. For every 100,000 people tested in D.C. 3,000 of them are infected, a rate higher than that of West Africa.

As the second anniversary of the rapper's death is approaching, his widow, Chinara Butler, has created an outlet to continue his legacy by launching the first annual Chad “Pimp C” Butler Hip Hop & Health Fair.

December 4 is the date to look out for the event starting at 6 p.m.

Butler has partnered up with the CCM Foundation and the Syphilis Elimination Advisory Committee in order to present such a special occasion to honor the life of her husband.

The purpose of the fair is to raise awareness on HIV along with other STD's which have become an epidemic to the African-American community as years have progressed.

Being held in Port Arthur, Texas, the event will feature the Port Arthur Health Department which will be providing those in attendance with free vaccinations along with other health services.

Those in attendance will also be able to show support as there will be a $5 donation at the door along with a canned food drop box.

Of course Hip Hop will also be in attendance as Bun B, Too Short, Trae the Truth, Jackie-O and others will show their support.
