Dame Dash Admits To Tax Woes

Reports recently came to light that Dame Dash owes $3 Million to the IRS and Dame admitted to the faux pas (to put it in light terms) in a recent interview on Sway Calloway's radio show on Shade 45.

"I owe way more than $2 million in taxes," said Dame. "That must've just been the IRS," said Dash, laughing. "Nah, nah, I'm Fawked up."

Dame continued, "They're auditing me. When you're a business man, you have a lot of businesses, a lot of times they think you're laundering money or you're pretending you're writing things off that you don't. I'm a true businessman. As you know, I believe in my independence, I have no partners, so every dollar I make goes right back into every business I have."

Dash also goes on to explain that an accountant holds a heavy responsibility within the business to properly report where expenses are going.

"If I have an accountant that just reports I just invested $10 million in my business and he doesn't exactly itemize where every cost goes, it gives a flag to the government. They want to make sure that the reason I'm not paying taxes is because I'm reinvesting in these businesses and not trying to hide stuff."

R. Kelly's medical hiatus from performing seems to have come at the wrong time financially. The Chicago crooner reportedly owes over $837,000 in delinquent federal taxes, according to records recently obtained by DETNEWS. The IRS filed an $837, 442.59 lien against the singer on January 6.

Kellz recently had his debt to Uncle Sam lightened when the IRS lifted a $1,036,858 tax against him last month, but still has the $837K tab.

The singer also faces possible foreclosure on his $2.9 million Chicago mansion.

As previously reported, Robert was rushed to the hospital for an emergency throat surgery. He was released following the procedure and will take a break from performing to heal.

Rapper Ja Rule has three months to get his stuff together.

Today (March 9), the former Murder Inc rapper was reportedly given a delayed sentence so he could finish his upcoming album and ease his IRS woes.

Rule appeared in a Manhattan Supreme Court this morning, where a judge obliged the rapper's request to push his surrender date back until June 8, according to the New York Post.

"We want to finish the album, and there's also a tax issue," Ja Rule's lawyer Stacy Richman tells the NY Post. "Somebody, an accountant, had filed an incorrect form, and this is to correct what was done in the past."

Last year, Ja Rule pleaded guilty to a July 2007 gun possession charge and was sentenced to two-years in prison.

Since then the rapper, born Jeffery Adkins has been adamant about finishing a number of projects before his sentence starts.

In addition to finishing his long-awaited album, Renaissance Project, Rule recently finished filming his role in the faith-based film, I'm in Love With a Church Girl and is in the process of filming a reality show.

"My reality show, I like it because it's showing a strong black family going through a tough time," says Rule. "And how we band together as a family and how my wife and kids, my moms and her moms, bond together during this tough time when I have to go in."

Young Buck is back in headlines again, this time for being indicted in Nashville, Tennessee.

As previously reported, the IRS auctioned off several off his personal items after he faced a $300,000 tax lien.

Since then the ex G-Unit rapper filed for bankruptcy and reportedly sued 50 Cent for a contract dispute.

Now after moving past his money woes, Buck is in even more trouble after being indicted on a federal gun charge.

According to Nashville's WSMV News, Buck, real name David Darnell Brown, has been charged with being a convicted felon in possession of a .40-caliber pistol and ammunition.

Buck reportedly plead not guilty to the charge and is out on bond.

He must surrender his passport as terms of his release.

Buck was previously convicted of stabbing a man at the 2004 VIBE awards and can no longer carry a gun or ammunition.

As previously reported, the pint sized rap vet was spotted shooting the video for her “Black Friday” Nicki Minaj diss complete with a lookalike of the YM Barbie.

The video shoot was also for her latest track “Clap, Clap” featuring her IRS or International Rockstars team.

The track features subliminal disses at Minaj including the lines,

“So mention my name out your mouth/ And before you take a bow, we'll be clapping from the crowd.”

"Diss Lil Kim in ya songs and I'll be in the crowd with a round of applause."

In addition to Clap, Clap, Kim has released her take on Lil Wayne's track “6'7.”

Kim plans to release her new mixtape in February.

As previously reported, news of Swizzy's tax woes broke in June with him owing a reported 2.2 million to the government.

Now the Detroit News reports that the number has jumped to $2.6 million for the producer and husband to Alicia Keys.

The IRS reportedly filed a $283,562 lien against Swizz Beatz on Monday with the New York City Register.

The address on the newest lien is Swizzy's mansion in Panoma, New York.
