Kendrick Lamar Weighs In On Gay Marriage Debate [VIDEO]

Kendrick Lamar has become the latest rapper to speak on the controversial issue of gay marriage. Like Jay-Z before him, the Compton, Calif. rapper steered clear of judging people based on their sexual preference. In an interview with DJ Drama, Lamar showed his support for a person's right to live their life as they fit. "I don't give a f**k about people doing what they gotta do. That's your lifestyle, you dig what I'm saying?"

Lamar's comments come after President Obama and Colin Powell both announced their support of gay marriage, and the young MC pretty much feels the same way as the aforementioned political figures. "People gonna be they own individuals and have they own worlds and I can't knock it," he continued. "If you didn't believe in Jesus I can't knock you for not [believing], you got your own beliefs and your own morals. I can't help the way you was born if you was gay. And I can't change that so do what you gotta do to be happy."

Aside from commenting on political hot topics, the 24-year-old is also working on his major label debut Good Kid in a Mad City, and a joint release with J. Cole.

DJ Drama Interviews J. Cole [VIDEO]

Last Sunday, J. Cole checked in with DJ Drama on his radio show to speak on a few things. Unfortunately, the first topic discussed was his situation with Diggy Simmons. After time was wasted on that, Cole addressed the more important things available for discussion. He touched on his experience on the Paradise Tour, the sophmore album, Meek Mill joining Roc Nation Management, and the joint project with Kendrick Lamar.

Aside from the rap business, Cole loosens up when asked about his NBA Finals predictions, his fanfare for both Kobe and Durant, and the video of that game of "21" that made it's way onto the internet a few weeks back. These guys are washed on the court. Ha!

Never say J. Cole is not a man of his word. The Roc Nation rapper recently confirmed his plans to record an album with Kendrick Lamar, and now photos have appeared that further reveal it is definitely going down. Peep the photos these future school MCs cooking up new music in the gallery.

Thinking of the possibility of a dozen or so records matching the vigor and freshness of K-Dot's J. Cole produced "HiiiPoWer"? Yeah, so are we.

Drake Reschedules Club Paradise Tour Dates Over Family Issues

As Drake's Club Paradise tour continues to make its rounds, the rapper paused the run to handle family issues. The Young Money MC pulled out of his North Carolina and Virginia shows to tend to his ailing grandmother, reports All Hip Hop.

Drizzy called the incident an “unforeseen personal family matter,” and promised fans that he would reschedule. He also took to Twitter to smooth things over. “Headed home at 6am to be with the family...to all the Raleigh and VA fans I will see you soon,” he wrote. “My apologies.”

The tour is expected to roll into Washington D.C. this Friday (May 25), followed by Pittsburgh one day later. As for Raleigh, N.C., fans will have to wait until June 20 to get see Drake, 2 Chainz, Meek Mill, Waka Flocka Flame, French Montana and J. Cole.

Since launching the nationwide trek this month, the tour has only run into a couple of hang-ups. The most recent problem occurred earlier today, when 2 Chainz was arrested at LaGaurdia Airport.

J. Cole Says He's Working On Joint Album With Kendrick Lamar [LISTEN]

An official collaboration between J. Cole and Kendrick Lamar is in the work. The two talented rappers connecting for an album has long been rumored, but Cole confirmed to Hot 97.5's Bootleg Kev that it's going down.

After discussing topics like MTV's Hottest MCs in the game (the Roc Nation rapper didn't make the cut) and staying off Twitter, the last question was about a J. Cole/Kendrick Lamar mixtape. "Album man, we working on that," said Cole emphatically. "We actually got in the other night and actually worked, bouncing ideas."

Cole revealed that they already have four to five song together. Considering their previous collaboration is Kendrick's Cole produced "HiiPowered," from the Compton rapper's Section.80, this project has a big upside.

Police Force Drake To Cut Show Short On Club Paradise Tour [VIDEO]

Drake ran into a little trouble on his Club Paradise tour last night. The YMCMB rapper hit Southern California playing to a packed house at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheater in Irvine, Calif., Tuesday (May 8), but was forced to end early after authorities stopped him from performing all of the songs on his set list. “Police made me cut the show short but I love you all for rocking with me Irvine!” he tweeted after his concert.

Announcing that he was inspired to bring together a group of artists that he likes to “hear in the club,” Drizzy –rocking a white tank top and showing off his muscles—shared billing with J. Cole, 2 Chainz, French Montana, Meek Mill, and Waka Flocka Flame. "October's Very Own" ran through a collection of hits from his mixtape days, to his Take Care album bringing most of the rappers back on stage for encores. 2 Chainz, who was too late for his set, settled for a performance of “No Lie,” with Drake, before going into “Spend It,” and leaving the stage.

Up next, the Club Paradise tour will head to Phoenix, May 10.

New York native, Nicki Minaj, will headline the flagship Hip-Hop show of the summer, Hot 97's Summer Jam. After releasing her sophomore album Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded, she will be coming home to the New York metropolitan area as the headline act at Metlife Stadium. Joining her will be Young Jeezy, Rick Ross, J. Cole, Wale, DJ Khaled, Waka Flocka, Trey Songz, Maino, Big Sean, 2 Chainz, French Montana, Mavado,and Tyga.
