Ja recently sat down for a jailhouse interview with New York Daily News, where he revealed the relationships he's built while in the bing. Rule said he has gotten stock tips from Kozlowski and learned about the perennial impasse in Albany from Hevesi.

“Outside, you don't meet guys like this every day. This place is amazing,” said Ja. “It's funny. We are from totally different walks of life. But when you're here, you're here,” continued the Queens rapper about his newfound friends.

A more grounded sounding Jeffery Adkins also talked about his upcoming album, Pain Is Love 2 and the circumstances under which is was made.

“I did this album in about two or three weeks, tops,” revealed the raspy voiced rapper whose seventh LP is scheduled to hit shelves February 28. “Really a special album. Back was against the wall. I really didn't have the time to do what I set out to do for the project. But it came together much better than I ever could have imagined.”

Ja Rule is scheduled to be released from prison in January 2013.

After turning himself in to authorities back in June, former Murder Inc. front-man Ja Rule speaks. It was just a little over a year ago, that we welcomed Weezy home, who served time for a very similar gun charge as Rule's. However, Wayne served roughly a year's time, while Rule has been sentenced to double that.

Ja gave a call to VLAD TV where he discussed what life has been like for him so far, and the difference between he and Weezy's cases.

"I aint mad about the time I got...I'm here doing my time, it could've been worse," said Ja Rule. "You know I'm grateful that it's not, and it's a short bid [a skid bid], I'll be home in 13 months back on my grizzly."

Ja Rule is currently serving a 28-month prison sentence for failing to file tax returns for three years.

In order to to stay in touch with his fans, Rule will release a monthly journal letter.

Here's Ja Rule's first letter from prison:

Today I can truly say I've been through it all.

A young kid comes in today they put him in the 18 cell right next to mine he looked kinda depressed coming in but nothing out of the ordinary a few hours go past and all of a sudden I hear someone choking he's trying to kill his self.

We all heard it everyone runs to their cell doors and start kicking,banging, calling the CO's.

Now I've seen a person get shot and I've even seen someone die from a drug overdose but this was different this was suicide.

It was like I can hear the life leaving his body the CO's rush in the cell they saved him.

I didn't even think some shit like this was possible in these cells.

He tied his bed sheet to a pole that's attached to a sink which is about 3 feet off the ground made some sort of noose wrapped it around his neck then threw himself forward into a boston crab carmel clutch type position.

I never understood why a person would wanna kill themselves life is love & love is living it's gods most precious gift.

After they brought him back to his cell in the suicide suit he cried for hours we tried to console him telling him it's never that bad to wanna kill yourself.

Turns out he just turned 18 and got his girl friend who is only 16 and her parents pressed charges and now he's locked up on sex offender charges.

He was in school for graphic arts to learn how to make video games.

It's sad cause he's still a kid himself a good kid at that and now he'll be forever labeled rapist or sex offender when really he's probably just a kid in love.

Wow it's crazy how 2 years can be so close but yet so far when your 18 & 16 it seems far because he's now an adult and she's still a teen, but when your 10 & 12 it's cute and innocent and when your 18 & 20 nobody gives a f*ck.

It makes me think about Britt and her starting to date I'm not gonna lie at 18 & 16 I'd be at a cross road to but to ruin a young mans life & stain his future is not rite.

At 18 your legally an adult but your really still just a kid I remember when I was 18 I thought I knew everything about life & living as I look back now as a 35 year old man I realize I didn't know sh*t LOL and I'm still learning & growing as a man.

2 years that's what separates me from my family rite now and I look at it as short time but yet when Ish told me that Britt's acting partner was 17 I almost had a fit even tho she'll be 16 soon I'm sure he'll be 18 soon and BAM there it is crossroad LOL.

It's funny how God puts situations in front of you so you can see it clearly.

I trust Britt I know me & Ish raised her well besides she hates Kids LOL. But I also know the intentions of a young man I got my eyes on you lil homie Don't make me come back to this motherf*cker!

Ja Rule might be locked behind bars but his Pain Is Love 2 album is still on the way.

PIL2 is a sequel to Ja Rule's 2001 album Pain Is Love and will be the first album released by the rapper in eight years.

PIL2 is set for release on January 12, 2012.

Ja Rule's latest album has been pushed back.

The rapper who's currently incarcerated for gun possession was scheduled to drop Pain Is Love II, his first project in six years on his MPire Records and distributed by Fontana/Universal Music Group.

Now however Rule's facing a pushback and the project won't drop until January 17, 2012.

The album was originally scheduled for October 11.

Even though he's currently imprisoned, rapper Ja Rule is facing a $4 million tax bill.

As previously reported, Rule is serving a two year jail sentence for attempted gun possession.

Now according to the Detroit News, the state of New Jersey filed a$4,317,189 tax lien against him.

The lien which was filed on his Saddle River New Jersey home has not been addressed by the rapper's camp; his publicist declined to comment.
