Jadakiss Celebrates Consignment Mixtape & Birthday In Atlanta [VIDEO]

Last night, Jadakiss celebrated his birthday in conjunction with the success of his Consignment mixtape at Atlanta's Gold Room. Al Qaeda Jada quietly achieved a platinum rating for his Gangsta Grillz effort.

The Yonkers rapper's project has been quietly heralded and overshadowed because of Meek Mill's Dreamchasers 2 acheiving higher numbers in such a short period in time. Nevertheless, congratulations to the D-Block general on his recent success. Watch the video below.

The L.O.X. Will Not Release New Album On Bad Boy Records

The L.O.X. were once the toast of Bad Boy, but as the group preps the release of their long-awaited third album, they've decided to sever ties with the label. In an interview with Shade 45's Sway In the Morning, Jadakiss explained that Sean “Diddy” Combs' imprint isn't the best choice for the project. “We went over there, we gave him a shot at it,” he said. “He wanted to do it, but I don't think contractually with all of the forces, we weren't able to do it, but he's still the big homie.”

While Kiss failed to disclose which label will release the album, the ill-fated deal with Bad Boy may be a result of solo contracts signed by each of the three members. The “Without You” rapper most recently dropped his Consignment mixtape last month, while Styles P released Master of Ceremonies in 2011, and Sheek Louch's last release was 2010's Donnie G: Don Gorilla.

The trio's debut Money Power & Respect, released in 1998, peaked at No. 3 on the Billboard album charts.

Birdman Is Willing To Do “Whatever It Takes” To Sign Chief Keef

Chief Keef is officially having the best week ever. First, Kanye West dropped the remix to his “I Don't Like” record, and now Birdman is fighting to make him a Cash Money Millionaire. During an interview with MTV News, Weezy's “dad” revealed that he desperately wants the 16-year-old on his label. "I like him, he kinda reminds me of us,” he said. "[He's] out the streets, I think he's swagged up and I'm definitely talking to his people and I'd like to see if we can make it pop, see if I can see if I can get him to be down with the team.

“That's what I like, it's a movement and he's young, I think the game needs young blood all the time," he said. "[We] need youngsters to keep it innovative, because they're new and creative in their own way. I'm into the young world, that's my thing. And I'ma do whatever it takes to make it happen."

Keef hasn't decided where his label home will be. Rumor has it that Jeezy is also in competition to snag the Chicago rapper, but if he's really lucky, he might even end up being the latest member of the G.O.O.D. Music team.
