The two did manage to keep it professional as possible, but the most noticable jab aimed at Leno was done by Letterman himself when he refered to the current host of the Tonight Show as a "brat" due to the antics after originally leaving host duties, sentiments echoed by the likes of Howard Stern.

I, for one think Conan is the perfect candidate to take over for Letterman as the next host for the coveted CBS time slot. The potential rivalry between Conan and Leno would be epic.

In statement to the website, Acura explained that their intentions were never meant to insult.  "We apologize to anyone offended by the language on the casting sheet used in the selection of actors for one of our commercials. We sought to cast an African-American in a prominent role in the commercial, and we made our selection based on the fact that he was the most talented actor."

They also claim that  language used in the casting sheet somehow went over their heads, but stated that they are "taking appropriate measures to ensure that such language is not used again in association with any work performed on behalf of our brand."

With this alleged oversight, the luxury brand has joined the likes of Burger King who caught backlash for hiring Mary J. Blige to sing her love for chicken, and Abercrombie & Fitch who came under fire for using the N-word in the description for a pair of their pants, sold on a fraudulent website.

Seinfeld finds himself at the center of another racial controversy; this after TMZ reporters got hold of a casting call document (see next page) for the role of “African-American Car Dealer” that specifically states that actors going for the part must be “Nice looking, friendly. Not too dark. Will work with a MAJOR COMEDIAN.” Right, we're scratching our heads on this one too. Did this actor have to have a clean criminal record and just one baby momma on top of that too?

The document came from the angry actor who didn't get the part because he was a little too, ahem, Black, apparently. While this latest occurrence is nowhere close to Seinfeld's former TV co-star Michael Richards' racist tirade, you kinda get the feeling Ol' Jerry is probably a little embarrassed by all this recent attention.

It'd be interesting to see how Acura fixes this fiasco. Anyone seen Wesley Snipes lately? That's a dark skinned brother looking for work, for sure.

The late night talk show host and comedian appeared on ‘The Tonight Show With Jay Leno' where she joked with the host about her ties to the emcee.
When Leno asked her about the rapper's “Fiddy Cent” moniker, Chelsea replied,

“His name's Curtis…I call him Curtis when we're having sex.”

She struggled a little bit however when asked about her alleged beaux's last name.

“Curtis, what?” Leno asked,

“Oh I don't know…Curtis Cent.”

Some have looked at the situation and condemned West as an overall menace and painted a picture of an evil baby that draws out his horns whenever he doesn't get his way. Others, however, feel as though the situation has come to an unnecessary boil and have simply stated that it could have been much worse than it actually was.

Amidst the troubles that were brewing for West after his dramatic tantrum during the VMA's, late night television show host Jay Leno was able to do what few has done, leave West speechless. In regards to his actions, Leno questioned how the rapper's mother would react to her son's outburst. Still dealing with the passing of his mother, Donda West, moments of silence followed as the rapper almost seemed to be brought to tears by the sheer thought.

“And Jay Leno, with your banana boat face having a*s, you need to apologize to Kanye West for asking him with his mother [would say], what she would think, she would think she'd need to smack your fuc*ing banana face-hacing a*s face off trying to be slick.”

The friendship of West and Def has its history and is most evident in the music. Starting back with West's debut album, College Dropout, the two have collaborated on tracks like “Two Words”, “Drunk and Hot Girls” and “Good Night”.

Currently, the rapper has collaborated with Dame Dash in producing a documentary. Although the upcoming flick is without title, the focus will be on an all-Black punk band named Death from Detroit in the 1970s. Production has already commenced and it will be directed by Coodie and Chike, who are known for working on videos for Kanye West, “Through the Wire” and Mos Def, “Ghetto Rock”.

Loyalty is something that is hard to come by, but once it happens friends will ride with each other no matter what the case. In this particular case, attacking West has brought about the fury of Def and although he may come off as quiet, don't let the movie roles ever get it twisted. Behind all the flashing lights, he is still from Brooklyn.

Not hiding behind a publicist and addressing the situation head on, an apologetic Kanye West put his ego to the side and told Jay Leno how his day was after the jaw breaking moment in which he upstaged Taylor Swift's win of “Best Female Video.”

“It's been extremely difficult…I just…dealing with the fact that I hurt someone or took anything away from a talented artist or from anyone because I only wanted to help people. My entire life I only wanted to give and do something that I felt was right and I immediately knew in this situation that it was wrong and it wasn't a spectacle. It was actually someone's emotions that I stepped on and it was just rude. Period. I'd like to be able to apologize to her in person.”

Leno then asked, “So when did you know you were wrong. Was it afterwards, as you were doing it, when did it strike you, like uh-oh, uh-oh?

Kanye West: Soon as I gave the mic back to her and she didn't keep going.

Jay also mentioned that he was fortunate enough to meet Kanye's mother before she passed and asked what she would have said about his actions. Holding back tears and not making excuses when Jay asked would she be disappointed in this or would she give him a lecture, an emotional Kanye stated:

“Yeah… Obviously I deal with hurt and so many celebrities never take the time off and I've never taken the time off to really… It's just music after music and tour after tour and I was just ashamed that my hurt caused someone else's hurt. My dream of what an awards show is supposed to be caused… I don't try to justify it because I was in the wrong. But after this, I just need to take some time off and just analyze how I'm gonna make it through the rest of this life. How I'm gonna improve because I am a celebrity and that's something I have to deal with and if there's anything I can do to help Taylor in the future or help anyone, I'd like (to). I want to live this thing as hard…. Its hard sometime so.”

After speaking with Jay Leno, publicly addressing the situation and apologizing to Taylor Swift and the world, Ye then took the stage and proceeded to rock alongside Jay-Z and Rihanna as they performed their hit single “Run This Town.”

It takes a big man to admit when he's wrong. Not his words but the timing and not using tact to address a serious situation that many artists feel but are too afraid to address. We all know many of the award shows are rigged and trophies are bought and paid for. It'll be nice to have every category awarded on talent and merit but I guess that's like doing what's right. I guess the truth will be silenced and “The Ego” has left the building.

In related news, President Obama reportedly called Kanye a “Jackass” for his actions. ABC's Terry Moran tweeted:

“President Obama just called Kanye West a “Jackass” for his outburst at VMAs when Taylor Swift won. Now THAT'S presidential.”

The comments were made off camera and Moran quickly deleted the tweet after posting it.

ABC then issued a statement apologizing for Moran's tweet reading:

“ABC In the process of reporting on remarks by President Obama that were made during a CNBC interview, ABC News employees prematurely tweeted a portion of those remarks that turned out to be from an off-the-record portion of the interview. This was done before our editorial process had been completed. That was wrong. We apologize to the White House and CNBC and are taking steps to ensure that it will not happen again.”

I guess President Obama can't speak his mind either.
