There was no full list of who is staying and who's going, but they were a bunch of employee cuts and of course some acts were let go. American Idol season 9 winner Lee DeWyze was one of those artists that got the axe.
Edge said,  "The big initiative here is to spend more money on artist development, making more records and making better records and less on all of the other stuff."

Justin Timberlake is heading back to Vegas this year for his annual Justin Timberlake Shriners Hospitals for Children Open, a seven-day schedule of events.

Taking place Sept. 25-Oct. 2, 2011 at TPC Summerlin, Timberlake's annual concert is Saturday, Oct 1 at The Theatre for the Performing Arts at the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino in Las Vegas.

This year the singer has an “Old School Jam,” theme and is bringing out artists who have influenced his career.

The concert line-up features Earth, Wind & Fire, Charlie Wilson, Vanilla Ice, the Commodores, the Sugar Hill Gang, Sister Sledge, Turbo B and Color Me Badd.

Comedian Wayne Brady will also co-host the event with Timberlake.

Shriners Hospitals for Children is a pediatric health care system specializing in orthopedics, burns, spinal cord injuries and cleft lip and palate.

All services are provided regardless of the patients' ability to pay.

There are 22 Shriners Hospitals for Children, with locations in the U.S., Canada and Mexico.

Tickets go on sale Monday, August 15 at 10 a.m., PST, online at Ticketmaster.com, by phone at 1-800-745-3000, and at The Theatre for the Performing Arts box office at the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino, Las Vegas.

Timberlake revealed the news in an interview with Vanity Fair when he was asked about the rap star turned business man and whether or not the two would collab.

"Jay-Z has put out 11 albums, and I was talking about doing collaboration with him, and he said, 'I can't do it right now, but I'll get you on the next album.' I was like, 'No, man, I don't work like that,” Timberlake explained to the magazine.

This sounded good to me for you and me to do together, and if it doesn't work, then I totally get it, but I won't be putting an album out next year; these aren't a dime a dozen to me.'"

Timberlake initially reached out to Jay-Z when he was recording his FutureSex/LoveSounds album, but was told by Jay-Z that he was too busy and that he would be willing to do a collab on his next album.

As part of his solo career Timberlake has worked with a number of Hip Hop producers/artists including Timbaland, T.I., Three 6 Mafia, and Pharrell Williams.

Justin Timberlake spoke with Playboy magazine for the July issue and candidly opened up about his relationships with co-stars, ex girlfriends and weed. Justin said he isn't dating Mila Kunis and it was no issue working with his ex, Cameron Diaz in the new film Bad Teacher because they are truly friends.

When asked about former lover Britney Spears he mentioned that he couldn't remember the last time he spoke to her but he defended her by saying, “I'd love to see the people who comment about Britney online say those things to her face, because they couldn't. Also, in Britney's defense, if you pulled up a video I did from 2003, I couldn't do the s–t I did then either.”

The singer/actor wasn't shy about his feelings on reverting back to the N'Sync days when he stated that a performance of any of those records would have to a "really special scenario."

The frequent Saturday Night Live guest admits that making people laugh is his new favorite thing and the best therapy for easing his own tension is marijuana.
“The only thing pot does for me is it gets me to stop thinking,” he said. “Sometimes I have a brain that needs to be turned off. Some people are just better high.”
