Kelis Talks Nas Divorce; Says She Has "No Regrets"

Nas' ex-wife Kelis isn't second guessing her decision to part ways with the God's Son.

According to an interview Kelis had with Attitude magazine, the 31-year-old singer doesn't have any regrets in divorcing Nas, after just two years of marriage.

"I'm not a big regret person," Kelis said. "I've been divorced, and I can still say I don't regret it I'm a big believer that if a bad situation happens, it is a lesson that needs to be learned, just once."

Kelis, who is currently touring and recording, added, "I'm a mother and I do what I love for a living, and I have enough money to do what I want but not so much that it's a stress. I think happiness is a momentary feeling but I'm very content. I feel really good."

Kelis should feel good when she's getting $10,000 a month in spousal support from her ex-husband.

That "milkshake" paid off in the long run.

Smarten up, Nas.

Nas' Support Payments Lowered To $25,000 A Month

Nas is catching a break from support payments to his ex-wife Kelis now that he's expected to pay half the original amount.

As previously reported Nas was ordered to pay $40,000 a month in spousal support along with an additional $10,000 in child support for their son Knight.

TMZ reports that legal docs filed in L.A. County Superior Court state that Nas must now pay a little over $5,000 a month in child support and $20,000 a month in spousal support.

Nas now has an additional $25,000 a month he can keep for himself.

The Queensbridge rapper is said to be working on releasing his Lost Tapes: Vol 2 as a possible bonus disc with his next album.

Kelis Sued Over Unpaid Fees To Talent Agency

Kelis hit with a lawsuit for unpaid fees

R&B songstress and Nas's ex wife Kelis has been hit with a lawsuit for allegedly failing to pay a talent agency for their service of representation.

Plaintiff Drive Talent Inc. filed the lawsuit in the Supreme Court of the State of New York claiming that the singer failed to pay them a sum of $11, 817.91, despite being booked on various shows including Jay Leno, the Today Show and Late Night With Jimmy Fallon.

The lawsuit also states that they worked with Kelis on a variety of television shows and non-televised appearances in the United Kingdom, and France among other countries.

According to a statement in the claim, Plaintiff Drive Talent was hired by Kelis and her management team between March 30th, 2010 and July 13th, 2010, the company claims that although Interscope paid the money to Kelis to pay for their services, she only made partial reimbursements for travel, labor and production items purchased for her appearances.

Although the agency is stating that they haven't been paid, Kelis is singing a different tune.

In an interview with Allhiphop.com, Kelis claims that not only was the agency paid in full but they are filing he suit in order to get back at the songstress for a lawsuit she filed against the agency for using her name during an unauthorized European tour.

"Drive Talent has been paid in full for services rendered for the assistance in production for various TV performances," a representative for Kelis said.

"Any claims stating otherwise is clearly an effort to gain press attention. The amount claimed to be owed is not for services rendered, which Drive Talent would like the public to believe, but over a dispute stemming from a European promotional run in which Drive Talent authorized the spend of close to $11,800 of the artist's money to a vendor they hired without approval from either the artist or management."

The singer also states that she is looking forward to the upcoming court date.

"We look forward to presenting our case in court and are confident once a review has been made of all evidence we have to support our argument that it will be clear Drive Talent has absolutely no ground whatsoever to stand on."

Kelis Signs Modeling Contract

Kelis is the newest model to be added to Next Modeling agency, after signing a new contract.

The mother and singer will be a part of the London modeling agency's “Special Bookings” department and received praise from the Head of Branding at AAB, Melanie Maw, who released a statement saying,

“Next Models we have found an internationally like minded agency that understands and believes in her vision. This partnership will continue to push her to the forefront of fashion. Other agencies came forward but with Next we felt it was a natural fit and we are thrilled.”

AAB is the branding company that helped secure the deal with Next.

Her new contract is said to be “lucrative” but no word on how much she'll be paid.

Nas Talks Kelis And The Future Of His Family [Video]

Kelis may have decided to remain tight lipped about her divorce from Queens bred emcee Nas but the rapper s has decided to dish on his divorce as well as talk about how his life has changed since their separation.

In an interview with British on air personality Tim Westwood, Nas states that although he will never talk about the divorce directly, being in the spotlight a lot of issues were leaked that he wanted to remain private.

“I really have never been that type of dude to put my business out there,” Nas said. “With the situation I found out that no matter who you are, your business will be put out there because people want to know. I will never talk about the issue, but what I will say is I wish everyone the best and I want everyone to be happy.”

In regards to whether his problems with Kelis have deterred him from ever getting married again, Nas states:

“You live and you learn, when it comes to matters of the heart I go all in. I still think marriage is a beautiful thing, it's just you have to be strong to weather the ups and downs. I had great hopes and thought we were going to do it big, but when two people see things different and have two different minds, you go into two different directions. But I definitely can see myself doing it again; I had fun doing it and got a beautiful son out of it.”

It's always good to see that neither party is bitter….at least for now and until he sends out that alimony and child support check out every month.

And with the flop of Kelis' latest album Fleshtone, I hope he's not in court again with her trying to up the ante even more.
