Name dropping has always been prevalent in Hip-Hop music, but it seems as if rappers of today aren't just dropping names, they're dedicating entire songs to other celebrities, rappers, athletes, public figures, model chicks and infamous criminals.

Nowadays you're seemingly no one if you don't have a song named after you.

As previously reported Lil Kim made comments about Cole in January after Keyshia released her single “I Ain't Through” featuring a verse from Nicki Minaj.

Kim took the track as a diss to herself and the Queen Of Hip-Hop Soul Mary J. Blige and threatened to “erase both Minaj and Cole's “social security numbers” before later back peddling claiming that the media was blowing it out of proportion.

"“I think this other Beyotch got a song with Keyshia Cole, right? Coming at me and the muthaFawkin' other queen, Mary J. Blige. Me and my girl Mary J. Blige about to eat these Beyotches alive where they won't even Fawking exist no more and erase their Fawking social security number! We gon' remind them who the Fawk we are! Now after Keyshia Cole was snubbed from the BET award nominations, Kim is claiming that it's her disloyalty to her that caused the singer to go unnoticed.

Taking to Twitter Kim laid into the songstress for letting Minaj disrespect her on the track and added one last piece of advice---choose your friends more wisely.

Defending herself Keyshia simply added that she and Kim were “never friends” and gave her props for her verse on their hit “Let It Go” which dropped soon after Lil Kim was released from jail.

As previously reported, Chris Brown leads the nominations with six while Lil Wayne follows close behind with five.

Late Tuesday after the nominees were announced and an obviously upset Trina took to her Twitter account to say,

Trina was snubbed from the Best Female Hip-Hop artist category while Nicki Minaj, Master P's daughter Cymphonique, rapper Diamond and Lola Monroe were all nominated.

Likewise singer Keyshia Cole was snubbed from the Best Female R&B Artist Category while Beyoncé, Marsha Ambrosius, Keri Hilson, Jennifer Hudson and Rihanna all received nominations.

Taking the high road Keyshia thanked her fans Tuesday for their support and focused on her upcoming “Love Letter” tour with R. Kelly and Marsha Ambrosius.

“Well I know for sure I'm gonna be our on this [R.]Kelly tour. For the next 2 months .... its like this. Been on the scene 7 years. I was 21 when I got signed. 7 # 1 records. No awards 4 none of them/still touring. It is Wht it is. These types of thing R the way they R. I'm not upset about any of it in any way. I hope everyone that goes has a wonderful time.”

On Saturday, April 30, Revlon, Lilly Tartikoff, and the Entertainment Industry Foundation (EIF) held the 14th Annual EIF Revlon Run/Walk for Women, which began in Times Square and finished off in Central Park.

In attendance that day was “Changed My Mine” singer Keyshia Cole who hit the stage for a performance of her single “Better Me” and showed off a new look.

The fiancée of basketball star Daniel “Bobbie” Gibson donned a two-tone hairstyle and turquoise leather pants as she wowed the crowd with her vocals.
Also in attendance were Jessica Alba, Jessica Biel, Jimmy Fallon, Matt Bomer, Dr. Mehmet Oz, and Nate Berkus.

R&B singer Keyshia Cole's oft-troubled mother Frankie Lons was arrested yesterday after police officers say they searched her and found drug related material, according to reports by TMZ.

According to authorities, Lons, who was recently featured on VH1's Celebrity Rehab Season 4, was stopped for a routine traffic violation when authorities noticed she had a warrant out for her arrest.

Cops then searched Lons and discovered “drug related material.”

She was then arrested and booked at a local jail for misdemeanor possession of drug-related material and the probation violation.

According to reports, Lons is still in police custody as of this morning.
